Snowkiting makes the Wall Street Journal

Thought I would share this link. They mention the difficulty of pumping up kites on the snow...someone needs to introduce him to foils and arcs. That’s an awful lot of money for a lessons too.

cool

course that kind of money isnt too bad... 3 day, lodging, meals, and kites and all the gear that goes with it? little pricey, but it aint bad when you consider all you get

kudos to him for gettin our sport more in the spotlight

Yeah, for 3-5 days all inclusive, that's not bad at all.

I was thinking the same thing, even though it's out of my range,;-) the si valley guys can afford it! Wall Street Journal would of course push the $$$ end of the story, it's what they do. Good to expose the sport to peeps with more expendable $$$!:duh:

I wonder how much it would be if you have all your own gear and just go out and use their facilities. It would be fun to go out west where you have a huge range to fly in and know no one is going to come tell you to pack it up.

His Mexico trip sounds awesome too.

Great. I see Heather Schenck from Kite Utah/ Windzup (Ozone distributor) made it in there. In my last order Heather tossed in a map of the Skyline region and I noticed "designated snowkite" areas. How cool is that?

I have gotten the Jekyll Island Authority (state agency) to use "Kite Beach" as a proper noun in their web site articles, but I have yet to get it "on the map".

One would think they'd jump at the opportunity to be associated with something other than this...

The Creature From Jekyll Island
