first time ever wake boarding. JL 133 taking care of business. different feel for sure. i tried with the 140 sprint worked fine but the board was
way too flexible. out from about 2-4pm fun. the next day we went out again and dude hooked me up with a old school hyperlite 152 with boots.
totally strange with the boots. but felt great switching doing "fakies" he called it but loose in the center . totally fun. my friend is a lifer
on the river with ski/wake/bigwave surfer stuff said i held the record for longest runs. the fact it was my first time even attempting wake
boarding was a shock to us both.BeamerBob - 8-3-2010 at 09:41 AM
Your skills and longevity don't surprise me a bit. You looked very comfortable back there. I guess it felt different with someone else deciding
where you went? You are used to being in control of speed and direction and that's out of the picture when behind the boat.arkay - 8-3-2010 at 10:08 AM
sweet ride! Next we'll see you on a wakekite and in cable parks :wee:acampbell - 8-3-2010 at 10:15 AM

Never knew what a wakeboard was 'till I overheard it here...PHREERIDER - 8-3-2010 at 10:31 AM
the super flexi board SK140 sprint is magic with a kite. but drag with a boat gives a huge negative rocker between the feet! after about 30min on
that thing i realized it and changed to the JL. def a fun sport.
BB i'm sure you could school me on the boat show, no doubt.
the low pull vector is a different feel but its nothing time want fix.
being so close to the boat kind freaked me out and not having the lift vector probably where the most distinctive elements in the cross over. out
wide beside the boat i felt most comfortable , with an air pole it would be very similar to up wind riding.
oh and a wake skate on a kite is much easier than behind a boat. the lift thing is like magic for the starts .Drewculous - 8-3-2010 at 10:32 AM
good job dude! looks fun! we need some warmer weather round here thoKamikuza - 8-3-2010 at 06:12 PM
Nice one
I used to love slalom skiing ... but cos boats and running the buggers are expensive, it was a once-a-year or so thing for me
... you know you can combine wakeboarding and kitesurfing??? Hardrock - 8-3-2010 at 07:39 PM
Nice ride but 50 degree water isn't for me. WooHoo, it will take the life right out of ya.BeamerBob - 9-3-2010 at 09:05 AM

Angus, my slalom ski is my go to tool when my turn comes up in the boat. I'm not the norm by any means though. I have to avoid the big jumps out in
the flats on the wakeboard due to some disc issues in my neck. Seems to be the only thing I do that has enough g's to mess me up.
Now back to our originally scheduled programming (Phree's Chargers)mougl - 9-3-2010 at 04:58 PM
