WHATS THE GO

nocando - 15-3-2010 at 05:57 PM

Hi all, its my turn for a bit of a #@%$#! session.

Am on the lookout for a couple of small quadline kites.

Problem being sellers who dont wish to do business with people overseas.

Whats the beef too many rip offs, or is it slack postal services loosing too many packages.

Prefer to buy in the US as the poms have good kites but they are a mob of robbing dogs.

maybe its because we have been put off on by so many people we have tried to buy from over there... we get rejected, too

my advice to you is to give up on it unless you see something you reallly really want...

maybe i sound rude, but im not sympathetic because i have been put off many times by british kiters not wanting to sell me things...

keep trying, eventually you will find someone you can deal with, but patience is key

Nah the problem with the UK is the astronomical shipping fees and the half-arsed attitude the companies take to it ... remember my Phantom?
It's actually the Yanks who ... rant deleted

I'd blame Kami. Every kite being sold by someone willing to ship overseas gets snapped up by him .

send me money for the cost of the kite + shipment to me, then to you... pick a kite and its yours

::i'm totally joking btw::
:puzzled:

We can ship worldwide, you can get the cost of shipping right from our website. The rates are slightly higher than you may expect because we do include packaging and insurance on all overseas shipping - still the shipping rates are competitive.

The biggest problem with shipping overseas is the conversion rates, many don't know how to process them or how to have the cash converted from one currency to another. The second biggest problem is that most people don't know how to do all the customs information when shipping overseas. It isn't difficult to do, just time consuming and somewhat complex with some shippers.

Regardless, there are shops who will ship overseas, can't say for private sellers, some do, most don't.

Hope that helps.

And speaking from experience, A Wind of Change will take very good care of you.

Ripsession does a lot of shipping overseas. I'm sure He can help you out.
We are in Canada and get shut out my Americans sometimes. If the seller doesn't want my business , I don't want to deal with somebody like that anyway!
