Planning ahead - Flight back home?

So...in a strange twist, the wife (and little one by default) MIGHT have to fly home during our trip for a job interview and then come back down. Just curious what you guys would recommend for an airline since from here we book WestJet or Air Canada (kinda because we have to). With luck it'll be from/to Vegas since I'm willing to bet those will be the best prices to be found.

We're hoping she gets an interview but also hoping it can be either before we leave (not likely) OR just when we get back. Planning for "worst case" here.

I dont know if southwest serves any cities near you, but they're the cheapest around the US, usually. Most one way tickets are $90-120, two free checked bags, etc.

Why not Westjet ?

You purchace online from anyplace and the tickets are all one way so no reason you can't purchase in reverse of our norm.

AVOID Sunwing! Ken 3 and I got stuck in Vegas airport for 3 days with them last year! :(

wow, without dates you're looking at $450 per person round trip with Westjet. I have to guess a date and a return date.

nothing for Southwest or Allegaint, but they would be the cheapest. we could try connecting flights but the lay overs are normally only 2hrs or less.

I couldnt get a fixed rate for US Airways, but they are pricer and charge for luggage too.

sorry couldnt help more.

No worries - we've got enough leads (and yes...not sure why I thought we couldn't book Westjet....).

She may even try her luck at standby but that means a long gap in NABX it it happens that that's when she's gotta head back. And yes....just doing the "boy Scout" thing......hoping for the best but preparing for the worst ; )
