I have been waiting for this day for a long time

dylanj423 - 17-3-2010 at 08:42 AM

My sister rolls into town today with my new Full Race buggy today.... Im so freaking excited.

I just thought i would chime in in a kite-friendly group. I tried telling my friends, they are clueless.

I quit smoking and moved close to the beach to have more fun with kites... I have owned an old model Flexi, which was lots of fun (Thanks Steve)... But today, i take the step up.

50 mph barrier, here I come. No NABX this year.... but probably next year... and definitely 2012 if not (the world cant go ending w/out me making at least one NABX)

Anyways.... what a great day :)

Oh, and 20 mph winds on Sunday :wee:

Nice bud. Sounds like loads of fun heading your way. :)

To bad you are so far away. I would love to play on a nice beach. I just have hay feilds here. Only good in late fall thru early spring. And state park where they only allow kites in the feilds and parking lots. Never on the beach.

Man I bet you are excited!!!

It's funny how friends just don't get it. As hard as I try, no one wants to go fly a kite.

Hey, the friends not getting it is like going to Europe, unless they've been there they don't want to hear it. Great feeling getting your stoke kicked up a notch, there's nothing like hitting that 40 to 50mph run, everything tightens up and all you can think is "hold that line, hold that line!".

Congrats by the way on giving up smoking! What a chore that can be! Wish you all the best of luck with keeping your path and good winds for buggying. I've never tried, but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in trying a buggy!

Hope you get good winds and watch for the new equipment curse meaning no wind

rocfighter - 18-3-2010 at 03:04 AM

OH no I hope you didn't turn on the curse by mentioning it :P

Taper123 - 18-3-2010 at 06:39 AM

70 degrees, sunny and a perfect onshore 15mph SE winds forecast for Friday :wee:

Perrrfect for testing a new bug!

But of course the new buggy curse has 20mph outta the N/NW and uper 50's for temps... plenty to play with, but hard to get those 5 mile or more runs in...

Enjoy your new bug !!!!

C ya at Cinco.
