Hi,
Thanks in advance for any advice given
I'm new to this forum and somewhat new to the world of kiting. I've had a Prism P.3 that I've been playing with for about 6 months or so at the beach
and I'm ready to upgrade but am unsure what I should get next. I plan to stay on land with it and weigh about 170 lbs and am athletic. I like the dual
lines, the strong pull (dragged down the beach :wee: ) and handle the kite well.
I'm thinking maybe a quad line this time around but am not sure how much more difficult that is to handle...eventually am hoping to get into water
kiting once I have a strong handle on the advanced kites....
any advice?

I went from P3 to 5m and got my butt kicked often.
Couldn't even fly most days out trying. So it took a while to learn and fun time was cut so painfully much.
4m would have been better. Now with that said, I still would like a 3m Beamer just to have and fly when it really blows.
If I did it over, P3 / 3m Beamer / then the 5m range.
I haven't flown the 3m and can't compare it to the P3. But I would say its a step up with the handles for learning.
If you get a 3m Beamer or another quality 3m, it will resale on here fast if you don't like it, for a used price. But most hang on to em.

If you like pull, 3m Twister would be a nice start. 4.1m Twister for real gusto.

Almost any good quality 3m on handles will be a step up from the P3. The P3 is a reasonable enough kite, but it doesn't have that much pull for it's
2.5m size. Good possibilities:
Ozone Flow (3m)
Ozone Imp Quattro (3.5)
HQ Beamer (3m)
Peter Lynn Hornet (3m)
Peter Lynn Twister (3m)

You want a kite for land and are using it to train for water kiting if I read this right ?
Will all your riding eventually be on water ? If so you may want to consider a kiteboard trainer kite. Similar but on a bar with a loop for hooking in
to a harness. The Hydra is closed cell and a good choice.
4 line handles are a LOT of fun and will still teach you what you need to progress to depower but a bar may better suit your direction? Just food for
thought.
