Have to move

Kamikuza - 17-3-2010 at 06:50 PM

The owner of the house we've been renting for the past 4 years has been living in Saitama, where his company transferred him ages ago. They've decided they don't need him so he's decided he's coming back here and wants his house back :(

I #@%$#!in hate moving but it may end up being a good thing cos the neighbors are #@%$#!in psychos and if we get the house we want, the cat can go back to being an outside animal and I can get a shed.

A shed! A shed!

Moving is gonna suck arse though ... we have so much stuff :o

I know the feeling too well - I need to move from the house I lived (and accumulated) in for 13 years!

Japanese translation of "Shed":
....."Spacious Guesthouse" :D

You're not wrong Lad ...! I'd like a place to put my compressor and tools and stuff - rather than having to drag them out of the cupboard every time I need them :o

Man I dred the thought of moving. I have about 100 times the crap any sane human should have. I'm not a horter I just know I will need this crap some day.

This is just life working itself out. Didn't you balk on the Outlaw because you are running out of kite storage ?

I am working on buying a kite shed this spring now I have outgrown storage.

moving away from psycho's is premium, only to find you might be the new psychos' for someone else, but it certainly keeps everybody moving!

moving is a chance to lighten your load. take only what you have touched in the last 3 months , then give the rest away.

it will save your back!

About 7 years ago, we lived next to some psychos. I prayed one day for God to get them away from us. A week later we were getting transferred to GA. Be careful what you ask for. You might just get it! It all worked out well.

We are coming to the close of our move process. Should hang the last of the pictures tonight. Tidy up the garage after its last project and then the move is basically complete. 6 months from prep to completion. After purging, we filled a 52 foot truck with a thing or two hanging off the back. The good thing is, I have all my kite stuff on its own dedicated set of shelves and the buggy is hanging happily from the garage ceiling. It is even happier when I get it down and put it in the car though.

Well if moving all that kite gear is to much for you...;-);-)

Good luck with the move hope it turns out for the best and isn't too much of a PITA.

i'm TRYING to move... we've been looking for about a year now... prolly close to 100 houses... home depot is a disease man, they wreck houses....

I've moved 5 times in 46 years and 3 was in the Air Force.

Not much moving for me. But I still hate it.

Kamikuza - 18-3-2010 at 04:42 PM

I lost track of the number of times I moved when I was a uni student ... too damned many but my possessions then consisted of a car, motorbike, tv, stereo and PC and a few clothes

The psychos are just fun - absolute whackaloons ... I love winding them up! I got race Yoshimura pipes on the bike ... sometimes I go outside and 'tune' my bike for an hour or two :D

Storage isn't a problem - I got a whole room dedicated to kites
Let's see, we got a kite room, box & laundry room, my room, bedroom, living room, dining room, classroom and of course kitchen, bathroom and upstairs/downstairs toilets. And a garden with a pumpkin patch, a kiwifruit vine and even the lawn I put in! That's probably why the neighbor hates us - we got all this space and a garden and she's wedged into her house with her two annoying #@%$#! kids and a patch of concrete out the back

So it's going to be hard to find a perfect place - but we have like 8 months at least! We've told the real estate agent we want a place way out the middle of nowhere ... so many people here MUST live near a train station that that's where you get the wedged in like sardines factor ... out in the 'country' you get space and a lack of neighbors ...

... maybe we should get a skip, park it in the road to annoy the neighbors and just start lobbing stuff in it :o
