Well' while flying my new bada$$, PL ReactorII in the buggy today at my fav flying spot. I landed my kite and sanded it, then went over to my buddy
who I have taught to fly ,he was landin my 4.7 rage ,so I said I would take it for a spin. As the Reactor had wore me out . Man after flyin an 8.6 ,a
4.7 is like my wifes little 1.7 sting. I made 1 run down the beach and when I turned around , these 3 people w/ 2 dogs, that I swear were on leashes
when i passed them.
Now 1 of the dogs is running straight at my reactor, So I hollered that someone needs to put that dog on a leash .it IS THE LAW! I then
informed them that the kite costs 600 dollars and it could not be dry cleaned if fido were to urinate on it. It was then that their friend started
going off about some one was gonna trip over the lines. I asked her if she could not see the 2 of us presently flying and that they are kites and thus
have LINES ATTACHED ,not to mention the blue and red flexi lineset I was using. This sand is almost white, the lines don't just blend in.
Anyway , I just jumped back on the buggy and started another run ,they had put the dog on a leash and were leaving, I thought. All the sudden I here
more hollerin, so I turned around. What I saw was my wife heading straight for the "nice lady" w/ the smart mouth. apparently the "nice lady had
walked over to my flourescent green kite stake that was securing my reactor, and proceeded to pull up the stake and throw stake and handles down on the
beach. Proclaiming that someone was gonna trip over it and then I would get sued. Well , apparently messing w/ my very expensive kite did not
sit well w/ Mrs. weldngod and she jumped up and went right at her asking if she would like to get her derrierre kicked or what. I think the "nice
lady " only saw me and my bud flying, so she thought she could show her butt and throw a fit. What are we gonna do to a woman? She did not count on
us having a woman w/ a size 12 foot w/ us.
long story short we decided to leave. On the mile walk back to the road, my wife was 100 yds ahead of me and my bud was behind me about50 yds. When
all the sudden we see 2 uniformed officers coming down the trail. I was not happy about this prospect. But the officers walked right by my wife and
I'm thinking what are you gonna say when they get here. Well ,when they got 2 me they just kept on going. Mind you I'm wearing a PL kitebag on my back
pulling a buggy full of kite gear. Then when the cops get to my bud he just smiles and says"w'sup" ,they just nodded and kept on going. Next thing I
see is the "nice lady" coming down the trail she walked right passed my wife ,then me and then my buddy. When she was coming towards me ,all I could
think was "what am I gonna do if she just starts screaming ?" But she did not.
When we got to the road, there were 2 cop cars at the gate and a crowd had gathered as well as the other 2 people w/ "nice lady" WE did not say a
word just picked up the buggy ,put in in the back and left ASAP.
I think karma was on my side today, and now I know my wife loves the hell outta me.
What a day, hey and the PL Reactor II is deffo a buggy engine from hades(or the netherlands)

people can't live withem can't hookem up to a 100m kite & let them float
off to their own "Happy place"
Kamikuza - 20-3-2010 at 05:18 PM
#@%$#! the police. #@%$#! people who think they can touch your own personal stuff. I don't need to point out the fit the queer #@%$#! would have had
if you tried to touch her dog, car, garden gnome etc.
"Someone's going to trip over the lines" and what, fall over on the sandy beach and get sand on their hands? Oh the humanity!
Drewculous - 20-3-2010 at 07:38 PM
wow... glad i missed it lol.... someone woulda been hurtin the next day if they tore up my kite :karate:
WELDNGOD - 20-3-2010 at 07:59 PM
hey Drew, nobody tore up a kite ,but she pulled the kitestake out of the handles so the kite would blow away. I did not see it as I was going the
other direction briefly. I think she was smarter than she was trying to appear. All that talk about somebody not seeing it (fluorescent green?) was
B.S., that is why she waited until I wasn't looking anymore to do it. By my young lady has my back ,and you better know it. Still had a blast
though. WOOT WOOT

dont people have some nerv sometimes, people like that are looking for trouble in my opinion
rocfighter - 21-3-2010 at 04:38 AM
You just need except the fact that she is smarter and better and far more important than the rest of us. Even if she is a total dumbass.
WELDNGOD - 21-3-2010 at 06:12 AM
It sux ,we are nervous about going back for a while. After May 15 ,no dogs will be allowed. So if they show back up w/ fido on the beach illegally ,I
can get it on video . And when they decide to call the cops back out there ,I can turn it around on em. Get them a ticket instead
Hardrock - 21-3-2010 at 06:29 AM
Man that sux.
You got a good place to go and don't want to ruin it. I know the feeling.
Bladerunner - 21-3-2010 at 07:30 AM
Last weekend a couples off leash dog Peed on a friends kite . We yelled and they called the dog . The way they DIDN'T react I guess my friend thought
the dog hadn't gone but it did. These people didn't even say OOPS ! :ticking:
cheezycheese - 21-3-2010 at 09:22 AM
i had a pitbull run through my PEEL and get caught in the bridle last year at wildwood :ticking: the only upside is it provided a good laugh to a
bunch of people. but you really always gotta account for the "idiot" factor...
clintopher - 21-3-2010 at 03:18 PM
Definitely don't want to attract any negative attention to that spot...even though I only got out there once last year it's my favorite place within
100 miles.
Give the old lady a thumbs up for me.
How was the wind there today. Was pretty good around the house but I had to much stuff going on to even think about grabbing for kites.
WELDNGOD - 22-3-2010 at 01:55 PM
