hey everyone, i am in the process of attempting to buy the Twister II from power, and I was looking for stuff to do this summer in my area. I recall
seeing some people flying a few kites at a local state park on the water. (cypremort state park, louisiana) if my memory serves right, they weren't
foils, they were those kind with inflatable sections and the rest of the kite was solid (i dont know the proper name for it)
however, I was wondering if it was possible to kite surf with the twister II?
I'm 5'8 130lbs, for reference

could you fly it on water ? sure until you crashed it. then it would be bad news. Twister is a land board / jump kite. excellent kite from all the

The kind of kites those people were flying on the water are called LEI (leading-edge inflatables).
The twister is an open-cell foil kite which will fly just fine, but those wonderful open-cells will fill with water very quickly if it comes down.
With skill and talent, you can fly those over water, you just have to be prepared to come in as soon as it hits the water.

LEI's aren't your only option. HQ Neo and Peter Lynn Charger are good for water use and 'inflate' without the bladders and pumping that goes into an
LEI.
Just a different option for you to consider.
Twister is awesome, you can get a landboard and use it and it is great static flying. But any open cell in the water is just asking for a sea

yeah , the twister is an incredibly powerfull kite, especially the larger sizes. i think its possible to kitesurf with a 7.7sqm twister starting at 8
knots with a big board. as long as you keep close to the coast and dont drop it - i see absolutely no problem with kiting with an opencell.

I have thought about wearing a mesh bag anyways with flippers in them. Might help with a swim back if needed.
