Is this Peters first time traveling to the Usa?Every immigration wants to know this!...........aj

Yeah just about any country in the world can ask that. They don't ask every time but they can...
Nothing idiotic about it in the post- 9/11 world.

Because having an address means your harmless?

acampbell - 23-3-2010 at 11:36 AM

no, so they know where to find you. It's on just about every visa application in the world and most immigration questionnaires. Even when those are not needed, if the officer asks the purpose of your visit and where you are staying and you fumble the answer, a flag pops and they keep asking questions. It's how it works everywhere but the USA is especially careful.

well in my training, they told us to use fake addresses so the immigration cant find where you are!
