I cannot decide which kite I want to get. I don't have much experience with the De-powerable bar just with the quad handles flying a Flexifoil Blade 3
8.5m and I buggied with that. I am wanting either one of these for the versatility of land and water. I am 6'3 235lbs and we have pretty good wind
here in Kansas 8-32 and gusty. What do you all recommend?Drewculous - 23-3-2010 at 01:37 PM

heard real mixed reviews on Charger's, seem to be an advance kite and don't know that much about the Neo's. Flown one and liked it but prefer my
Arc's. IMHOInvertedForce - 23-3-2010 at 03:37 PM
Id say your safest bet is with an ARC, as their gust absorption is pretty much unparalleled. Peter lynn makes some of the best twinskins, so It's a
good place to start.
I'd say go with a Synergy 15m or a Charger. Chargers are a bit faster, you might want some experience using a depowered kite first before you step up
to the top kite.Bladerunner - 23-3-2010 at 04:16 PM
If you buy an arc and find it's not to your liking it will re-sell easisr than the NeoII ?acampbell - 23-3-2010 at 04:40 PM

The ONLY Twinskins, LOL; they own the name. Sorry, could not resist.

having flown an 8.5 Blade, you know power and risk management. You will be fine with an ARC if you start with the right conditions toward the low end
of their flight envelope. Once you get over the intimidation of something being big and different, they are gentle puppy dogs in the lower winds.
Because they launch differently, watch the video until you can't stand it any more. The vid does not ship with the chargers but you can find it on

the neo (even the II) is told to be a slow turning SLUG ! and all those bridles.. never ditch a neo (or flysurfer) near the beach with seaweed. you
will sit hours to remove the weed.
i would say: go with the charger, or a synergy (much cheaper). you wont regret.
only advice to beginners with arc kites: prefill as much as you can. if you can afford to buy an arc kite, you definitely can afford to buy yourself a
leaf blower or akkupump to prefill it maximally in lower winds . thats the way to get 100% perfect and easy launches. or at least build yourself a
prefiller using a pc chassis fan. see the subforum about kites here.
later, if you have mmore experience, you can easily start arcs also only 70% prefilled. but that is nothing for beginners, for underfilled launches,
you need some kite-feeling.Chicagokitejumping - 27-5-2010 at 09:14 PM

PL or FS would be my choice. since you said gusty - than the arc would be my first pick.
