Power Kite Forum

Thought this community would like to know

RS67Man - 24-3-2010 at 06:39 PM

Hi all. I am posting this to let this group of fine folks know about a issue that I am sure you are tired of hearing about. The community at Rev kites is dealing with the seller on the 'bay with slanderous links. John Barressi, a Friend of mine, has finally gotten some resolution from the 'bay about this problem. Here is the link to the thread on the Rev forum:

Since JB has basically told the Rev community that he wants to put it all behind him and go on to better things, and I think you guys would have fun with it. That person, human, good for nothing, waste of good flesh set up new "forums" to "legitimize" his knock off POS products. I say to put as many good links for good info on kiting in general, honest evals on good products, and make his "forums" into a ad for the things he is fighting against. Here is the links to the two forums:

PKF EDIT: links removed

Don't really get where you're going with this? I think we've all reported him to ebay multiple times (at least a dozen times myself) - to the point where he had to start a new account and buy a bunch of feedback to try and legitimize himself. "and make his "forums" into a ad for the things he is fighting against. ", is what I'm not understanding. The forums are all locked and full of junk cigarette and porn adds - let him wallow in the filth that he created and be only reference when asked by those that do not know.

jonesband1998 is a liar and a thief.

I hope this will all come around to bite him on his a$$ soon. But he is a whiley sort so who knows.

This was at the end of the kitelife forum thread posted by the administrator. Very encouraging.

I've been assured that I'll receive some sort of communication from eBay in the next 48 hours regarding resolution.

Wow

I couldn't find a phone #

I found it very frustrating that there is no way for me to find out how Ebay responded to my ( and many others ) repeated complaints about this guy. Enough that I'm totally turned off of Ebay. I wished they had a way I could communictae my frustration with them?

How do you phone Ebay ?

I found a number (800-717-3229) from when I called last year and talked to a LIVE poerson, but now it's a recording guiding you though the help tab on the homepage.
Piss poor service. Guess as long as their making their corporate billions, they don't need our complaints

Update! JB contacted the webhost of those so called forums and found that they were in violation of TOS rules. They have been yanked off line and and you now get a 404 not found message if you try to log on. Score another victory for the kiting community!
