I got into snowkiting this year, and just got myself a landboard.
Just curious, what can I expect the wind the range for a 12 foil on a board with 'short' grass to be?
I guess I could just go out there and start on a low wind day and figure it out, but I'm recovering from a cold anyway, so...may as well post
something.

what 12m? fixed bridle or de-power will make a big difference in wind rangesHouston AirHead - 24-3-2010 at 11:52 PM
my guess is any where from 6-20mph

Ok these are for my weight and experience level (160lbs, intermediate) and are what i consider ideal ranges. there is personal opinion in everything
to do with kites
Grass will slow you down more than hard sand so the bottom end should be treated with caution.
All traction activity requires more skill in under 10 and over 20mph so try and fly between that range if you are average weight and just starting out

Thanks all. That was helpful.

Lol, nice try. no vids from me for a while! Gotta get up and running on the grass first. Plus I am not very exciting to watch as I haven't ventured
into tricks yet. I know my kite is ready for tricks when I am though!
