I have had a 3.5 Blurr for over a year now and i am thinking of buying a new kite because the Blurr is ment for Buggies as far as i know.
Im not amazing but i can hold a kite and move it quite well in the air. But i want a kite with more lift up than pull but i dont know if i should wait
and stay learning on the Blurr for a bit or get a bigger and better kite.
Thanks.Drewculous - 29-3-2010 at 09:06 AM
flexi blade or PL twister will give ya more lift The1AndOnlyDane - 29-3-2010 at 09:19 AM
Il have a look at them acampbell - 29-3-2010 at 09:23 AM
Blurr is a great high perfomance kite, but yeah, not meant for lift. Meant for speed and power down low in the window. Drew has it right; Blade,
Twister II for lift and don't rule out HQ Crossfire II. If you ever want to fly on a Bar, Blade is better choice.The1AndOnlyDane - 29-3-2010 at 09:26 AM
Would the twister be a hard kite to fly?The1AndOnlyDane - 29-3-2010 at 09:27 AM
Thanks acampbell im looking at the twister ATM and i like it just wondering if its to hard for me.acampbell - 29-3-2010 at 09:41 AM
Twister not hard to fly at all, just like handles better than a bar. A little smoother and less grunty than a Blade.Drewculous - 29-3-2010 at 09:50 AM
i gots a twister 2 and i love it... it is my go to kiteB-Roc - 29-3-2010 at 10:00 AM
what are you planning on doing? If just flying and jumping I'd stick with fixed bridles but if you think you are going to add a board at somepoint,
I'd start thinking depower before you buy too many kites that equal the purchase price of 1 depower.The1AndOnlyDane - 29-3-2010 at 10:01 AM
Nice thanks for the help :DThe1AndOnlyDane - 29-3-2010 at 10:02 AM
Like proberly just land and jumps but maybe in like 1-2 years might get borad but il liking the look of the twistermougl - 29-3-2010 at 04:08 PM
+1 fot the Twister II Great kite! Smooth, easy to control, lots of lift!The1AndOnlyDane - 30-3-2010 at 09:37 AM
Its 50 50 But my close freind said for what i am a blade would be better but i am still open for kites.
Thanks for everyones help :bigok:Drewculous - 30-3-2010 at 10:46 AM
blades are prolly better kites... but lots more money... they can also have pretty aggressive lift to 'em...
a blade 6.5 RTF is approx $900
a pl twister II 7.7 RTF approx $440
a HQ crossfire 6.5 RTF bout $530 (little heavier kite IIRC)
i love my twister dude... for the money its a hard kite to beat... you may even be able to snag some 09 deals on 'em right now too... if air is what
ya want a twister can do it... in the right winds i can get 5-8 foot jumps (foot to ground) all day long... i atb board with it too and have a great
time on it... i wouldnt overlook one
either way, all good kites The1AndOnlyDane - 30-3-2010 at 10:50 AM
Yeah the blades did seem alot of money but i dont want to keep buying kites because of the money but i want to get a good kite thats has a good lift
but is not going to be too aggressive because im kinda not used to it.
Once ive got either the blade or twister i want to get a board so i need a kite that will be good to learn on, but my mate says that the twister is
not a very good kite and i should get a blade so im still not sure which will will be better for me.Drewculous - 30-3-2010 at 11:13 AM
meh, personal opinion i guess... i fly my twister almost everyday and have never had a bad day with it... either kite is good... but if im droppin 9
bones on a kite... its gonna be a depowerThe1AndOnlyDane - 30-3-2010 at 01:15 PM

Agreed 100%!!!!
The twister is my main kite. I have used it for jumping (beginning to aggressive), boarding, even what I call zen flying (chillin in low winds). I'm
about to drop some dough on a buggy and I'm going to use it as my learning engine. You can not go wrong with a twister II. For the money there is no
better kite with all around versitility (imho of course)
Besides, if you are going to drop big bucks, go depower! nocando - 1-4-2010 at 04:06 PM
hey mate might be worth leaving your kite buying until after NABX, as there will be a heap of kites up for sale here, after people there buy new ones.
