About a year or so ago, my "Gift" option dissapeared so I couldn't send money for free to trusted friends ...
And now, from yesterday, I can't even send personal payments (and pay the lower PP fee myself!) cos of stupid #@%$#!ing laws in Japan
What alternatives to Paypal are there? That people actually use ...

No personal experience. However, due to the company (Amazon) that the service is a part of, I expect it's pervasive enough that it would require
minimal steps if only one party is set up for it and the other party needed to be brought up to speed. No fees for personal transactions.

If you would like to test it by sending me some money...

He's selling expert web crawling skillz and mad tech support calling skillz. He does both of those quite a lot and seems to be excellent at them :D.

Actually most gigs I have held have had a tech support facet to them.
One of the best times was when they let me make a road trip to provide tech support and by coincidence a band that I wanted to see perform was playing in the area I was driving out to (which was a couple of
hundred miles out ).
@Kam: I have some bridges to sell. ;-) I had a screaming deal on a boatload of ice, but that is currently earmarked for an Alaskan village
