If you had your choice, what would you add to your quiver for blading and skiing? (And eventually buggying)
B-Roc - 5-4-2010 at 09:05 AM
No need for a 7 if you've already got a 7.5 so I'd go for the flow for its simplicity and static flying fun.

For clarification, I have a 7.5m Ozone '07Frenzy. Thinking about swapping it out for a brand new 2010 4m Ozone Flow.
Sooo, what would YOU do?
I am a novice flyer. One season snowkiting under my belt and just into my first season of blading.
Maven454 - 5-4-2010 at 09:32 AM
I'd keep the Frenzy. It fits better with the rest of your quiver.
Note, there is no 2010 Flow that I'm aware of. There is only one model of Flow and that is from 2009. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but
calling it a 2010 is a bit of a misnomer.

@Maven454
By the look of your quiver, you sure like the Flow. How do you compare it to a Frenzy? And what do you use them for?
Maven454 - 5-4-2010 at 09:53 AM
Fixed bridles and depowers always seem like whole different animals to me. I like them both, but for different styles of flying. My smaller FB get
used for static flying. All of my kites get used in the buggy. The depower kites get used with snowboard and atb.
The only Frenzy I've ever flown was a 7m 2010. It was an excellent kite, very fast and went way upwind. The Flows aren't as fast and don't go quite
as far up wind, but I feel more relaxed using them.

@Maven454 Do you fly your FB with handles? Or with bar? Just curious. And maybe more relevant, I am wondering how a FB flies on a bar. They can't be
as manuverable on a bar as with handles, eh?
Maven454 - 5-4-2010 at 10:28 AM
I've got an Ozone Turbo Bar, but haven't managed to use it yet. So far they've only flown on handles.
powerkiter82 - 5-4-2010 at 11:57 AM
I have a 5m Flow on the standard Ozone bar. It flies great on the bar, however it is slower on the bar than it would be on handles. With the standard
bar you dont have the brake line input that you would get from handles or the Ozone Turbo bar.

@Maven- Sorry for the hijack, but just out of curiosity, have you gotten out since tugg hill?
Maven454 - 5-4-2010 at 12:51 PM
Only a little bit static.

I agree with the rest, keep the frenzy. If you can afford to pick up the Flow, they are great kites, but don't give up a frenzy to do it.
I fly my 5m Flow on an Ozone Turbo bar, just like Maven, and it is a pretty spectacular setup, the turbo bar is worth it's somewhat hefty pricetag.
