A little power kite related but not much.
Solomon's kite day was a blast this past Saturday; kids running around enjoying the art of flying while parents happily think of their quite evening
as the kids will conk out early. We showed up early to help support the Wings Over Washington by setting up a ton of banners along with a nice
display of buggies and boards. My original plans were to utilize the 24m Synergy as a gateway to the back of my Jeep where the personal DVD player
was busy playing all of my videos. Those plans changed when the winds came in a lot earlier than predicted. I did pick up a bilge blower that moves
145 cf of air in under a minute. That would have hopefully held the 24 aloft but ended up scrubbing the mission because of too much wind. I’ll try to
put it up just to see if it will work another day.
In both news articles there's a picture of one of my Gomberg spinning baskets (orange and black); it was a huge hit with the kids trying to hold that
thing back.
The day provided numerous contacts from people in the area that were very interested into the sport of power kiting but no avenue to persue. Hopefully
we will see a few popup and join the PKF.

I wish they would do things like that around here.
