Since getting permission to ride my buggy at the local private airfield, I've been wanting to get a gift for the owner. Some have suggested a bottle
or case of his favorite beverage, but I'm not sure if this is appropriate. So, I noticed the other day his wind sock did not fare well over the
winter, it is in tatters. I researched the item, and went for the largest size available, not being sure what size his is, with the assumption that I
can trade down if too large (36" diameter). Do you think this is appropriate, or presumptuous? btw, also got a good deal on a Lacrosse EA310
windmeter(basic, I know) for 34.95 at the same site.

Very thoughtful Idea. Additionally, I'd give that man some fine steaks.

A wind sock and steaks would have been much cheaper than what I did. I gave the owner of the sod farm I buggy at, a buggy and 2 kites with lines and
handles, (he did buy a harness). He said I can come over anytime I want to play :wee:
A bunch of us will be going over Sunday.
You can always tell him that you would like to thank him with _____ and suggest something and give him the chance to accept or decline, that's what I
did,

Well the windsock arrived yesterday, the thing is huge! I went to the airfield, but the owner is out of town right now, and my ladder was too short
to install the thing, so I will wait 'til he gets back. I took some pics of it
next to my truck, it's bigger than some of my kites!
