After a year of searching, and around 100 houses looked at... i think we may have found a house! Snap!

it belongs to a co-worker of my soon-to-be-father-in-law (?) and damn is it nice! Its got all the right things for us, with no big problems! I was
kinda beginning to lose hope... we have literally looked at every house on the market around here, and we have recently started looking only when new
ones were listed... it sucks house hunting.... bleh!
But this one has been kept in pristine shape, just needs some wall paper taken down, and some wood paneling taken down, but thats it! And the icing
on the cake is the price tag is pretty sweet! Well within our price range to have a few toys (*cough, cough, kites, cough*)
Its just been such a long arduous task... looking up all these houses, spending all weekend going through all of 'em.... and finding one out of 30ish
that may be ok.... que the paperwork (bout 50 pages each time an offer is made), the price wars, only to get so close, and have some tool come in and
offer full price and have it ripped away... man, i hate house hunting... it literally grinds me on every level...
That's why im so happy we found this... ahhh!
so hopefully we'll have a contract drawn up by the 30th and we'll have another 8 grand on our tax refund next year... and we'll have a home... not a
crappy-falling-apart-at-the-seams-rental, but our own HOME!!

What a great adventure, getting a house. five years ago, renting a New York City apartment, we realized that our work had become portable, so we
whipped out the atlas and picked this place off the map.
Planning and adding your own touches to your new house will be half the fun, and at least you won't need to go far for building materials!! Good luck
