Hello,
After windsurfing for several years, I've been introduced to kitesurfing in hurghada, and I've just been taking lessons back home.
Right now I'm looking for 2nd hand material, and I narrowed down to 2 offers. I have difficulty deciding what to buy, so I'd like to hear some
opinions of you guys.
First:
2 Naish cult's from 2008 (9m/12m)
-with bar, 2009lines, pump
-seller claims barely used
-Total package for 1000euro
Second:
7m Best Waroo (kite only) - unused: 450euro
11m Best Waroo(kite only) - used 2x: 400euro
15m Best Waroo(kite only) - used 10x: 550euro
Best bar 2008 45cm: 180eur
Best bar 2008 55cm: 150eur
(Condition of material is verified, the seller is someone my teacher knows)
It wasn't my plan to buy more than 2 kites right now, because of the high costs (i'm on a student budget), but the waroo quiver is tempting me because
of the good stuff I heard about those models, and the nearly new condition.
On the other side, if I go for 2 kites, the 9 & 12, seem a better combo then a combination of 2 out of those 3 waroo's.
(I'm 70kg btw, and would like to be able to kite starting from like 13 knots..)

the cults are better kite, in terms of both performance and quality

Check ikitesurf for comparisons of price.. The prices you quoted seem high for tube kites....
Dont forget arcs, theres a venom2 13m there for 500, which means you'll get it for about 400.....uses tube kites dont hold their value well.....

What year are the Waroos? I have a quiver of 2007 Waroos in sizes 15m, 13m, 11m(pro), and 9m and can vouch for them. I weigh ~150lbs and I've
gone/kept upwind on my 15m Waroo from very low winds (10-15mph) on a big board (2008 Crazyfly Cruzer 135x46 & 2009 Cabrinha Plasma 148x50) up
about 20mph on a small board (130x32). I have an 11m Waroo Pro, and I can ride from high teens to the high 20s (once into the mid 30s when the winds
picked up out of nowhere :o ). Unless the winds are high 20s - 30s sustained, you probably won't get much use out of the 7m Waroo, unless you're
doing land stuff as well.
The only thing to look out for on the Waroos is the one-pump system in the 2008 kites. The 2008s had an internal inflation system that is a pain to
troubleshoot/repair. If it's a multipoint inflation system, you're safe.
I have a 55cm 2008 Best Bar and it's a great bar, but ask to see when it was purchased. The initial shipment of them had a manufacturing defect in
the silver ring in the center of the bar which would cause fraying on the depower line. The bar I have is from the 2nd shipment and has worked
perfect the whole time I've had it (Since spring 2008).
The best thing to do would be to try before you buy. Are both sellers local? If so, can you demo both big kites from the sellers before buying?

I don't know Euro costs but I agree that you are being charged a pretty good price for used gear by Canadain standards. Those look more like Canadain
dollar values than Euro?

150 euros for a 2008 best bar is too much. I got a 2009 bar for $150.
