Went out to get the Venom 19m set up a little better and the forecast 8mph wind didn't show.
We sat in the field 4 hours with just a gust from one side then nothing then another from 180 degrees the other way. I just knew it would pick up but
no.
So headed to the hill. Hmmm wind!!!! Great. Set up, took to the sky. This is fantastic.
Got a little auto z going on but front lines too short or back to long. Bar in no stall or anything. Fooled around with trim adjuster, still not much
help.
Then all h@ll breaks loose. Gusting to 16mph and down to nothing. Kite falling into the window and yanking the crap out me.
Sending to edge and its making the scariest sound I've ever heard and if thats not bad enough it overshoots, tumbles and back in the window powered
up again but inverted. wtf,, hold on for dear life.
Land, fix and repeat. Here we go again, pulled the top hat, it flagged nicely on the leash, fixed the lines for one more try.
Here come the gust, crap, go get it honey, I'm parking on the edge. Boom!!!!! another gust about took her away as she grabbed the kite.
Well it was the edge, for a minute. LOL
Back down wind for yet another round, finally got it to her so she could pin it down and flag it.
My butt is beat down tired. Not a good day to learn this kite or try to get anything set.

the d'arc side does have a dark side
lmao, sorry, that sucks... my bad day on an arc was a 5-8ish foot loft and a 50' body drag... if they dont like the conditions, ya may get spanked!

dang, that was bad Drew.
BeamerBob spoke of the kite dropping during a lull and gust coming on. He probably saved me some skin today cause I would do my best to head it
towards the edge every time that happened, least get it pointed that way.
But yes, they do have a dark side. LOL
Love the kite tho, had 1 good session on it after sunset the other evening. Just gotta get the pigtails right.
