Txshooter38 - 17-4-2010 at 08:18 AM

Here are a few more good ones:

Heartbreak Ridge
The Decent---Not an award winner but a really fun watch...not good for the claustrophobic
Kill Bill 1 and 2
The Way of the Gun---Again not an award winner but the absolute best most accurate gun play ever in a movie. Period.
Wedding Crashers
Forgetting Sarah Marshall--You have to watch this one at least twice to catch it all and really laugh!

edk442 - 17-4-2010 at 12:09 PM

The Shawshank Redemption (i've probably watched it near 3 dozen times and i don't even own the movie)

Also notable mention to "Into the Wild" which was probably the last movie I saw that "simply good" It made me want to sell everything I own, pack up and leave

The Art of Lying - kinda dumb biut makes you wonder "what WOULD i do?!"

Yeah have the Firefly series on DVD in both editions... rabid fan of that show. In addition to the storyline, I just loved the tempo of the dialog and some of the turn of phrases. A really, really impressive ensemble cast.

Any other Joss Whedon fans should check out Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog with Nathan Fillion (Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly/Serenity) and Neil Patrick Harris. It's hilarious.

Sam

That was one WEIRD movie. You don't necessarily feel happy at the end of that movie.

ragden - 23-4-2010 at 10:06 AM

Uh.. yeah Burn after Reading was very strange. But then again, what do you expect from the people who brought you Fargo and The Big Lebowski...

Of course, they did also direct No Country for Old Men... which is an amazing movie..
