Really disillusioned with ATB here in Denver (really gusty wind and nowhere to fly like back in England) so selling all foil depowers - maybe I'll
find contentment within the buggying community (non-existent in Denver as far as I know).

Do it James buggies are just so much fun, and safer.

you live in denver? have you hooked up with the Dove Valley boys or come up to Longmont? Fort Collins even? there is about 15 or so of us front
range riders. It is harder then flying in England, but man, let us show you around to some of the choice spots! give me a shout.
mtthumper@gmail.com before you give everything away! (plus we have a lot of fields with decent wind that allow landboarding, but only one that allows
a buggy)

If you get a buggy make sure it has good ground clearance. All my fields are bumpy and my old rockville would leave me with bruises.
jaymzmn - 21-4-2010 at 07:15 AM
kiteon, I usually go to Lake Mac twice a year - it is quite cool!
Flash, I have replied to your email.

You might wanna hang onto at least one depower so you can try it in the buggy. If your winds are gusty you might get even more frustrated with a
surging fixed bridle? Just a thought.
jaymzmn - 21-4-2010 at 04:35 PM
appreciated! I love fixed bridles - I used to love kite jumping back in the UK.

I'm really glad I got the flysurfer Rookie2 off of him before you lot convince him to keep em all!
Was a pleasure meeting you james

What about the snowkite season?
jaymzmn - 22-4-2010 at 07:11 AM
no time! the winds here are so gusty and they are hard to come by - whenever i want to go or better, CAN GO - there are no winds and I have just heard
that Dove Valley (the best place I know to fly) has just received a ban last week.
Just can't win!
lives2fly - 22-4-2010 at 09:27 AM
Aw man I cant imagine actually being told I wasn't allowed to kite somewhere - or having no where to fly or having no wind for that matter.
I feel for you deciding you may as well sell all your kit - that would so suck.
A friend of mine recently sold all his ice climbing gear because he needed to raise some cash. It was like someone died.
jaymzmn - 23-4-2010 at 12:42 PM
Mate, if you live in England, get used to it. It's the place with the most bans I know of.
I'll keep the Scout and Blade for when the day comes of smooth winds.

Jaymz- I'm about to just say "f it" to the supposed ban at Dove Valley. City of Aurora(manages the park) has not bothered to call me back, so I won't
be bothered to listen to a guy who was unable to cite any rule that prevented us from being there, just stating that "you're not allowed to do that
here" without any proof whatsoever ain't going to keep me out.
I should also state that the guy who ran me off claimed to be a parks employee, but was not in uniform, and was not driving a marked truck. So yeah,
some stranger told me I was not able to, and the city has not confirmed it.....
sounds like a go to me
flash - 23-4-2010 at 02:13 PM
yeah... as far as Dove Valley I know Kyle and Justin have been talking to the folks at the parks&rec and nobody seems to know who said that to you
guys. Chances are it was some random stranger that was just being a tool.
You can always come fly up here, I work for the city/fire dept, and I have approval for any powerkiters to be there at Sandstone. there are only a
few obvious rules. Late Afternoon/Evenings - official soccer games have priority of field choice. and Power kites are generally only allowed on the
south half of the field (makes sense, there are large stadium lights on the north half) Otherwise it is a first come first serve field.

All I know for sure is I've spoken to the "on call" parks person 3x now and have yet to get the promised call back from the main man.
