NOAA forcasting winds west 10-15knots with gusts to 20knots
high tide 09:38 4.6 feet
low tide 5:10 pm 0.1 feet
chance of showers.

I'll take that bet!
Any takers :wee:

arkay - 22-4-2010 at 08:13 AM

Geeze, that's pretty... I'll see if I can shake free. I need to get up there this weekend any how!

arkay - 22-4-2010 at 04:43 PM

Shower forcast is looking light as per the hourly graphs from noaa :bigok:

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. West wind between 9 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

I don't know man. You are looking rather sickly. I think you need some ocean air. That's my professional medical opinion.

bigkid - 22-4-2010 at 10:52 PM

Heliboy, Tell them you have an eye infection... you can't see coming in to work.

That's a good one:yes: Gonna' be there but I can only hang out until 2. Sorry I missed you at the sod farm, Jeff. Had some last minute family stuff come up. Let me know when you are going again.

arkay - 23-4-2010 at 07:26 PM

Forecast look amazing W 15g23, tide going out from 5 to 0 ft 10am to 5pm. But 60% chance of rain (mainly before 11am).

csa_deadon - 23-4-2010 at 07:57 PM

But it looks like if there is rain it's gonna be lite, and not a very long period of it.

macboy - 23-4-2010 at 11:19 PM

.....envy..........

Got a nice "welcome back to inland winds" out with RevPaul and Deez today. Great to see them, sad to feel "our" winds again. I'll never forget hooking the Phantom up to the motorhome ladder while parked on the beach and it sitting so perfectly in place........

*sigh*

heliboy50 - 23-4-2010 at 11:21 PM

Just means you know where to go when you come for another visit:thumbup:

doesn't that always happen? :saint:

arkay - 24-4-2010 at 11:07 AM

Some rain this morning, but lots of blue patches. The wind, pressure, and radar look crazy consistent all day long. I'll be heading out shortly.

WIllardTheGrey - 24-4-2010 at 08:29 PM

So.... post stories so I can live vicariously:bigok:.

arkay - 24-4-2010 at 10:02 PM

Wind was great today! Pretty damn stable W 12/15/18. Tide was going out to 0ft from 10a to 5pm so there was lots of hard pack. I casually showed up at 1, just in time to see heliboy off... ran my rage 3.5 most the dayand put up the v2 13 for a quick test towards the end of the day. There were two small patches of rain mid day but other than that it was sunny!

Tried csa_deadon's 3.2? reactor and monty's buggy for some running up and down the dunes. The reactor was quite fun, it really loved to rock the down loops. It's also clear, post nabx, that I need some biger kites for the beach ;) I had the venom tuned way down, as I hadn't flown it before, but I need to yank the straps in a bit as I can see it wants more power. But depowered on the kite and fully powered on the straps and bar the kite was pretty tame and fun in the buggy at W15. Should be a fun kite. Just need to fill out the rest of the flying matresses.

Thanks again to Sean, Monty, and Isaac for eling me pack up as the last rainstorm was comming up, I was pushing my time with the venom before the ime ran out :)

csa_deadon - 24-4-2010 at 10:45 PM

What a day! Where to start? Winds were the best I've seen at Sunset since SOBB 09. Heliboy was looking good in that pee yellow buggy
Of course Jimmy ran circle around us. We won't tell we let him, since he was riding some french built buggy :wee:
Monty you look good in the buggy with that 4.4 RII.

The 3.5 RII was wanting more wind. Had enough grunt to get us moving, but you had to really work the kite.

Looks like the crew is getting better at putting buggies together. First a quick switch with my buggy from the dessert to beach setup.
Then Arkay shows up with his hardcore completely dismantled. No extra pieces left over.

Got two bits of video before the battery on the gopro pooped out. And yes Dino, Screwy it died before we tested the theory of whether or not
you can flip a hardcore with bigfoots. Yes you can! Funny how that works when you're turning to the right and loop the kite to the left.

All in all great day.

DAKITEZ - 25-4-2010 at 12:37 AM

your killing me ... why is the camera never running during the good stuff. I would love to see a buggy flip on camera :wee: :wee:

heliboy50 - 25-4-2010 at 03:38 AM

Best day I've had in a buggy yet. Worked with the harness, high speed (for me anyway) turns, one easy to reset panic stop from a pretty good clip when I had a choice of 5" water from a sneaker wave or a big chunk of driftwood, and what I am sure is the fastest I have gone to date (no GPS, but my knees were shaking after a couple of pretty fast passes.) I rode for a little over an hour without ever really stopping. Finished the day early to head back to town to go work but not before Monty's dog thought I was a dollar menu treat. I owe that little booger a bite back. Great to see you all out there (sorry I didn't get to hang out with ya' longer, Arkay,) and thanks for the advice on how to tweak my pulley spreader to Monty and csa_deadon. I'm ready to go again...

Just because you bought Dino's buggy doesn't mean you have to dress like him.

Could explain why tanner was chewing on him

heliboy50 - 25-4-2010 at 02:19 PM

Why you gotta' mess wit me about my shmants? :spin: No worries, Monty. He knew hid did something wrong (he just has impulse control issues kinda' like me.)

csa_deadon - 25-4-2010 at 05:08 PM

heliboy50 - 27-4-2010 at 10:08 PM

Matching yellow speedo next time.

csa_deadon - 27-4-2010 at 11:13 PM

You are making this way to easy. Need to find a rather large Miss Chiquita banana decal for your buggy.

Hey I know some one who does something like that.

Hey Josh, I'm looking for a large decal about 8-12 inches in diameter. I'll email a copy of the picture I need made up. Hey thanks man you're the best.
:lol::lol::lol:
