Editing Software

Knolee - 3-5-2010 at 02:32 PM

Would anyone be kind enough to loan me their editing software so I can install it on my computer? Sony Vegas is specifically what I'm looking for, but anything would work. I'll cover shipping both ways, of course.
Thanks guys.

anti piracy laws might say that is not a good idea.

Torrent sites might say they have a solution for your problem:lol:

and you might go on you tube and look up how others have found ways to get vegas unlocked

Yeah, I could find a torrent but I'd rather hold in it my hands and know that their aren't complications with it such as a virus or something. I'm updating to Windows 7 today, no more of this Vista crap that would possibly cause me issues. Some programs can be run on a few computers before their authorization doesn't work anymore and I know people on this forum have the software. But are they willing to share?:D

Windows Movie Maker on Windows 7 works fairly well for my GoPro HD movies. Why are you after something else?

I'll have to see W7 before I have any idea what you're talking about Maven, but anyway, I've heard Vegas can do some pretty cool stuff/effects.

If you ride well enough, you shouldn't need to add cool effects :wink2:.

Good point, but I'm looking to use the program for more than editing kiteboarding footage.

id be willing to bet you wont get your hands on a physical copy as it is a serial key that activates the full version. the trail version you can down load from sony itself is the full version, just needs a key to unlock. most users pay for the key and most likely will not let others borrow their key.
all that said read above post and your problem is solved.

You never mentioned what edition of Sony Vegas you were looking for. The product range starts out at $40 and goes to about $600.

Windows Live Movie Maker on Win7 does HD no worries but is pretty limited with effects - the big one I was looking for was slow-mo :(
Windows Movie Maker 2.6 can be downloaded for Vista and 7 but doesn't support HD as far as I can tell ...

When you buy software and get a key, I believe the legal stance is that you buy the rights to use that software and that owning a legit key is representative of your completed legal duty. So you can download a copy from anyway, but pay for the key and you're sweet. Maybe

Yeah, Windows Live Movie Maker was the one I meant. I guess I just don't care enough about video editing to want to add effects.
