The 3m Hornet is a nice stable kite. It has a great color scheme and will serve you well for a beginner kite. You will find that you turn to it on windier days even when you aren't a beginner anymore. I think it is a good choice.

Even though I'm just starting out and I'm still on my first kite, I will say that you've made an excellent choice for a beginners kite. I've been looking to get the 1.5m Hornet for windy days, as my Twister II likes to drag me around uncontrollably.

Good luck and have fun!

good choice you cant go wrong with it. takes a licking from beginners too and keeps on going. everything is include with the hornet and if you pick from a dealer near you im sure they will help you set it up.

if you're picky about colours another option is the hq or ozone. they are also good kites.

Have one and like it a lot. Great kite for a beginner and one that will serve a purpose later on. Well built, especially for the $$.

Very pleased with the one PL kite I own. I think the size will be right for you as well. Enjoy...welcome....and keep your check book handy. You will be getting more.

I would recommend buying your wife some gifts now to get her ready.

:yes::yes::yes:

I sat and practiced taking money or my credit card out of my wallet until the motion no longer effected me.

Got a kick out of watching some experienced fliers wrestle over a 3m hornet at nabx.
