well I have been kite landboarding for about 3 yrs now and havn't had a chance to have the pleasure of kiting with anyone else in motion. (Just revs
where i am at) .......is there some sort of kite Etiquette as far as a few people flying and buggying or landboards in the same area? like who's
responsible for placing kite higher in the window or vice versa? I only ask this cause yesterday at my spot I am saw a man flying his 3m Beamer and

General rule of thumb for kitesurfing is to yeild right of way to donwind rider. Generally they can't see you if your upwind "behind" them.
If two kiters are travelling in the same direction and one is over taking the other and they are both aware of each other the upwind rider keeps his
kite high and the downwind rider keeps his low.
Same thing if you are passing in oposite directions close.
If your a lot bigger than the other guy he should yeild as well. (lol just kidding)

There's racing rules and basic etiquette...
rule #1 avoid putting yourself in a position where a colision is possible
Basic etiquette when passing is that the downwind flyer keep his kite as low as possible and the upwind flyer keeps his kite as high as possible. the
downwind rider has right away mostly because they can't see the upwind rider, who can see the down wind rider. There's all sorts of crazy variants,
if you are headed at eachother, if there is an overtaker, etc, but same basic rule holds.
You're expecting stunt kite fliers to follow rules of etiquette?
Ride either way downwind or way upwind of everyone and try to stay out of their way.
The kiteboarding vids say the upwind rider should send his kite up, the downwind rider lowers it. IIRC the rider on the starboard tack has right of

yes... there are rules... upwind kiter keeps the kite high... downwind kiter keeps it low... make your path obvious to the oncoming kiter and dont do
anything that could result in a wipeout in close proximity... dont roll over anyone elses lines, and generally use common sense...

Just watch how and when you send the kite high if you're upwind.....you may end up downwind in which case your kite has to be low....welcome to the
