Pass the Radsails Aztec 5.0

macboy - 20-5-2010 at 03:27 PM

Okay, too many kites here and seems to me this one deserves a round of passing before I decide it's final fate. I won this at NABX, flew it once static, posted a review & pics and it's sat since so I'm gonna start a Pass.

Let's let the list build for a week or two and then we'll lay down the order. If anyone has a good way to get it from Canada to the US and from the US to Canada so we don't have to worry about any customs issues please chime in. Rip, maybe you and Monty can help here?

Ultimately it's a brand that I don't think we see much in North America and it definitely has it's high points...like what appear to be quite robust handles and a funky backpack design (doesn't help the kite fly but is cool regardless). I'd like to let everyone who'd like to see it get a chance. I get the sense that it's semi-newish flier friendly so don't let the size intimidate you. I had it up the same day I had the RII 5.5 up and the power in the Reactor blew this away but this one was equally respectable.

Simple rules. Fix what you break. You pay the post to the next on the list. It's brand new so I don't expect it to come home sparkling clean - just don't use it as a beach blanket or to check your oil

If you can get it to Ken tomorrow, I believe he's coming down to WA over the weekend :) I'll never pass up the opprtunity to fly a kite I've never flow before. An in fact I've never flown a radsail kite!

Is a very good idea in Australia Extreme Kites has the same scene 10$ to join 50$ deposit.

Only prob is you have to live in Oz to use this test arrangement.

They have FBs of various sizes and a heap of depowers

Cool, let's get a few more on the list and we'll let it go. (One less kite to move around while we're renovating ; )
