Arc internal settings

So I'm going out tomorrow to try and get this water riding figured out. For the whole day the current forecast claims that it will be 30km/h (18mphish) I will be planning on using the 16m Scorpion as this seems like it will be well in its wind range for water riding. I'm thinking also that it might be a good time to explore the internal strap settings but don't really know where to start. I was thinking the center first before sides but not sure as the last time I set anything I stalled the kite right out. What do some of the rest of you d'arc siders consider when setting them??:puzzled::puzzled:

Thanks
shaggs

If what I've gleaned is correct, then ...
Center strap - opens or closes the "scoop" of the kite, affecting how much air is held = power.
End straps - effectively shortens the rear lines even more, for all that entails.

... but I could be wrong :D

Put everything on middle setting and get used to that before changing anything.

Centre strap = power & flying behaviour
Outer straps = change the turning speed

Centre, set it once to your liking (your preference) then never change it unless you're in opposite conditions that you're used to, then it might need a bit adjusting.

Outer straps can broaden the windrange if used properly too, but there's a contradiction:
light wind needs straps open, but when you want to whip it about (needed in light stuff to keep it going) you'll need to tighten them for faster steering.

set it and leave alone .

getting out on the water, the last thing you need to do is change something.

this seems like a rerun?

I leave my tips tight and only play with my center strap depending on wind conditions. Sometimes people play too much with straps have to agree with Phree just fly the kite.
