A stroll down Grayland Beach WA

arkay - 26-5-2010 at 07:43 AM

A stroll down the 2.8 mile stretch that was open to us from the "tree" to buggy camp. wind was somewhere between 18 and 25. Not sure, never measured it! But at times the soft sand was blowing. I was on my V2 13 trimmed about 1/2 way or so going for a chilaxing ride, but the kite _wanted_ to go a whole lot faster than I was letting it :)

I just Googled that spot... wow, can you ride that whole beach? Great video also

One of the best parts for me was that you could leave the truck parked on the beach at high tide and still have room to buggy

Nice one Bill!

That is me passing by at 2:06 with the Pulse. I Flew the Syn the whole next day and just like you I blew them away heading up to the tree . Too much side slide on the way back and I was the slowest. You win some , you lose some ! :dunno:

Grayland is nice but from what I hear Long Beach will be the prize. Something like 13 miles of beach? What I would give for an onshore like we had at Grayland ! :wow:

We need to have an event at your beach some day !

Long Beach peninsula is 28 miles, I believe it has 26 miles of uninterrupted beach.

Actually, we have 10.5 miles of beach open to us just North of the main approach in Longbeach.

10m out & back BBQ! I can fit a hibachi on the back of my buggy... do we have anyone that can take a cooler? Maybe I need to find a why to hook up my bike trailer to the buggy :) :singing:
