So does anyone have any suggestions for where to get 5.5" tall Helvetica font letters? and/or econmaclal ideas about making ID plates for your buggy?

Funny thing I don't think most ppls buggies I've seen actually have 5.5"! The helvetica fon't also doesn't match 5.5x2x0.75 metrics But regardless!
You can make some simple signs for super cheap on paper and have them printer & laminated at kinkos. The 3 signs should cost under $10 for small
ones and if you go gonzo it'll run you about 15. Durable enough for "light" use.
I'd also check on the NAPKRA forum, I believe someone has some pvc signs to fit a libre. I also recall that csa_deadon also had a sign guy make him
some simple small signs for pretty cheap. Don't know if these were pvc or other light board.
Interesting factoid, the Helvetica font was not licensed by Mircosoft; so it's not shipped on windows boxes. They have their own version, but it's
actually quite different. Apple did license the font, for what it's worth.

The ID plates I had made for me were made out of a PVC type material. It's the same stuff they use for signs at airports. When hit they will shatter
not fracture and leave a jagged piece waiting to impale you.
I haven't measured the lettering yet (probably should have), but I gave the sign shop the specs from the NAPKRA site (here's to hoping)
I have cardboard stencils for the side plates, and rear for a Libre Hardcore (XS I think), Jon will have to confirm.
Cost was $42.00 for the set.

number stickers can be found at any sailing boat shop.
also I think Heliboy makes signs too.

Thank you for the plug, Indigo, though my actual day gig involves asphalt and sand (underworld is a side deal that hasn't really got the time devoted
to it that it deserves.) Yeah I can make these for people at cost (or beer if we live close enough) but don't be in a big hurry- currently out of
black but ordering more momentarily. I was going to make plates out of corrugated plastic sheet. Light, tough, and won't kill you if you land on it.

I used to race flat track motorcycles and supermoto, and I know you can get generic plastic square or rectangle number plates in several sizes and
colors at most large motorcycle parts outlets. They are usually made from the same flexible plastic that dirt bike body parts are made of, and that

I found some material that is like the stuff they use in Europe for the boards, it comes in 4x8 sheets and the thickness is .090 and will not break or
shatter. If anyone is interested in the material email me or look me up at the next Washington State beach event for NAPKRA. I can cut you a set on
the spot. I dont have numbers but any sign shop can print them up or talk to my man heliboy50.
