FS Mixer Test

I followed the directions on adjusting the mixer for the Pulse to make all the knots line up to bring the kite back to factory spec. Here is a before and after. From left to right is A,B,C and Z lines. Looking at it now I may need to do a slight adjustment on the left A line and right C line if I want to be anal about it. The Z steering lines are a bit shorter than the front lines obviously from stretching. I have read on a few other forums this does not matter becuase the depower essentially changes the lenth between the back and front lines anyway.

So I have not flown it yet with the change. It was flying ok before. I just hope I have not negativly tweaked anything from the way it was setup. Any thoughts as to why the B was so much longer? I can always adjust it back - that is why I took the photos.

I did a test on my S1.5 and they had about the same variablity like the Right mixer after pic, the three L lines. It turns pretty slow when depowered but not took bad when powered. I don't know if there is a way to tune it to turn faster or not.

When I was packing up the lines after i posted above noticed that my left pss handle was wraped in a knot around the ring the line is supposed to slide through. This had shortened the left line and why it tended to the left. It flies more stable now of course both static and in motion. I can leave it in a spot with little bar movement. It sits with little input at 12 which makes it a lot easier to putting the board on my feet in the water and not have to pay attention to it. Fixing both issues were required.

I added the mixer balls on a Pulse II from Powerzone to my Pulse. It is a lot easier to adjust rather than the knots. I also replaced the pulley lines.
Here is a cool flysurfer app that shows how the mixer affects the airfoil shape of the kite.
