Already some have been asking when next years event is to be held. It looks like it will be starting on the 29th of March and going through the 3rd
of April, 2011!
If you liked the event this year, i assure you, that was just the beginning of our next level ninja chit, mang!
More of everything for starters. More freestyle, more racing, more out n back, more games, and more party.
There will also be a High Speed of the Day category.
Special guests will include the return of the Dutch Team as well as the World Champion Racer.
NABX is positioning itself to be even more supportive of the buggy world so stay tuned for further announcements and year round commitment!

I'll funnel you to the right slot.
We do need help, and here's how it works. Volunteers are allowed to work 4 hours max per day whether they like it or not. We're building a team, and
we pledge to not burn out our help.
Those who know, realize we do things a little bit different at NABX. We are in this for the long haul, for the betterment of the sport.
Join us. Make the team! Try outs begin in November 2010.

When "Stupid Dave" and his cronies are sliding and jumping, I heard of them blowing a tire within hours. Other people can have 1 set of tires last a
couple of years. I was there 3 days this year and could barely see the wear on my tires.ripsessionkites - 23-6-2010 at 12:43 PM

said, shooting for that 100 mark...I figure that's pretty good for less than a year in a buggy, and almost all my seat time has been limited to crappy

There are a few wives there but not many. I don't think I'll ever get mine on the playa! I'm eying a long weekend there in mid November, but nothing
firm yet. The wife will be back east for work/visit. It will just be me with the boys and anyone else that wants to join in. Heaven knows there's

NEWS FLASH.....
There is talk in my house of NABX 2011....this is a huge step forward in this household (no seriously believe me...this is a HUGE step forward)....for
many years I have had "we are not spending all that money doing that" and "its all about you", "you would not spend a week shopping with me" etc etc,
it did not help when she spent 3 days in the Dubai desert when I went buggying with the Sand Yeti....anyway I have had to make huge compromises along
the way....for instance
The wife definitely will not stay at home if I am anywhere near Vegas again, and she is sooooo not into kiting, so this is what I have had to do to
even get a dialog going with some hope. (I am making her sound like some kind of ogre, but she is lovely really and my sole mate)
She will not stay on the lake bed for any longer than 4 days.....so I am thinking get there Wednesday, get checked in at the Primm Valley Resort, she
didn't like the look of Buffalo Bills....I dare not argue lol, have Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the Playa.....then this is the biggest
part of the compromise, she said, if she has to spend 4 days on the Playa, we must spend the next 3 days in the Bellagio...lol...personally I can live
with that.
Thanks so far for the emails from Kent and Ricardo with all the help and info you have given me so far....nothing is booked yet, but it is looking
VERY VERY GOOD, I have already had 2 sleepless nights just thinking about it, to say I am excited is an understatementBeamerBob - 1-9-2010 at 01:29 PM
Ahh, the prospect of actual original photos of you and your buggy on Ivanpah Dry Lake. I understand your plight Popeye, my wife seems to loathe
everything about kites. I only recently got approval for a weekend camping trip to the coast at a location where we can buggy.
I know I'm not the only one hopeful this becomes a reality for you and the rest of us that would love to have a few days to buggy with you at Ivanpah.
revpaul - 1-9-2010 at 01:30 PM
PTW
coooooool.....
your's sounds like my wife. "Zero" interest in anything other than shopping and stamping(making cards) but she'll go anywhere as longs as a "shopping"
spot is near enough.
she does sign checks for a lot of gear with no hassle though:wink2:
how r you going to pack/ship gear and how many buggies r you (planning) to bring?popeyethewelder - 1-9-2010 at 10:53 PM
I was not planning on taking any buggies, Kent has kindly offered me the use of a buggy, I dont know yet, I will make inquiries about the costs of
shipping a buggy over there, it certainly wont be the Dom 4 as it does not break down small enough...early days yetcsa_deadon - 2-9-2010 at 09:26 AM

popeye... i love that you said news flash.... You have to bring at least one or
two, or fifty of your buggies! Even if you ship them to Denver and I shove them in the trailer. I plan on holding them for ransom at the HQ camp, I
can be bought off with beer, buggies, or place-holding in the food line.ripsessionkites - 2-9-2010 at 07:55 PM

Thanks Dean, but unless you are a local employer there is not a lot you can do...at this stage I am just considering this a blip...and hoping this
wont be a long term thing, I have already had 3 months out at the beginning of the year, so this is not helping at all...wrong time of the year and
all that....
Sieger is being a brilliant sponsor, he has already said he would supply my kites for the trip, plus helped out is other ways too. But at the end of
the day, I dare not spend money on flights etc just yet, I think that would be foolish as I really don't know how long I will be unemployed, and I
have a house and family to look after.
The flights are also going up now all the time, they have already gone up £150 since we first started looking...I am still going ahead with making a
buggy for the trip, well I am going to make two, one to take to NABX and sell there, and one to leave at home and keep...it will be set up for barrows
and hopefully I will be starting them in the next week or so, so as you can tell...I am still being positive here...if I don't make it next year I
don't think it will ever happen.popeyethewelder - 3-11-2010 at 12:56 AM

Nice Idea Rips but I think the shipping and packaging costs to save it being crushed in transit will not make it worth it for what they are to be
honest...
The new batch are thicker and stronger than the ones shown (not that they needed to be)....
Its a very kind thought, but please don't buy one thinking it will help my trip, it really will not make any difference, its a regular income I need.rocfighter - 3-11-2010 at 05:24 AM
