Is the Peter Lynn Arc 840 a good idea for a snow/landbording kite? I want to know what kind of pull it will give in 5-15mph wind? And if it will give me any lift

The Arc was the first twin-skin to hit the market circa 1999? The 840 is 6m with an ideal wind range of 9-19mph / 15-30kph (based on 165lb person).
Unless its a really good deal or you want to have a bit of kiting history its not very close to what you are looking for.

What is an airhead?
Is it complete with bar and lines?

It will NOT serve you well at 5mph.

I still have a nice crispy 840 kicking around and had some really good days using that kite surfing when it got that 30-40kmh range. I think what was quoted on the web site might suggest you could get it flying in 15kmh but to have any proper power on water depending on board and rider etc you would need to be at least 25-30kmh.
- just a single butt flap inflation
- fast kite
- not as much depower range as we have now
- original bar worked okay but the straps that ran around the bar (didn't have a hole in the middle then) would wear through

If I'm looking to stay off the water and do land boarding and snowboarding it should be good right? And for the price?And it does come with everything I need to fly, like the bar, lines, and kite. And "airhead" was a typo

Yes , it is an O.K. deal. You will need a harness.
Be aware that this is NOT the right sized kite for 5 - 15 mph winds. It will leave you wanting something bigger but in the mean time you will be learning with a more appropriate sized kite.

Arcs are finicky to launch but once you get it down it pays off.

I agree this will not be a 5-15mph kite, that 15mph might be closer to where you start.
The other thing is the whole bar set up - they didn't have the same safety systems on the first bars and most people rigged their own flagging system. Good kite at the time and no reason it won't work now it's just that things have improved in so many aspects now that they make life easier. Better inflation, better depower, better safety etc. So it comes down to whether you would spend that money and be frustrated or not. It would be an easier call if you had someone close by to give you a hands on with a few different styles to let you get the feel before deciding.

just check what kind of safety is set up to use with the 840 - it may be set up like an LEI and won't properly flag the kite - it's not hard to rig up a ring based flagging system to adapt to whatever you get.

Without looking into it too much, my guess is the Cabrinha bar will not have adequate range on the depower line or the trim strap for an Arc. This is a common issue with adapting many other foil or LEI depower bars to Arcs.

I've not flown an 830 SArc - the Peter Lynn '02 bar that was to go with it came with 7" trim strap adjustment and no depower line. I have flown a couple other older Arcs - HArc 600 and FArc 1200 - and can say they benefit from a 14-15" depower range along with an 10" depower strap. FWIW, I don't have any lynn bars on my Arcs, but have modified all my bars that I use with Arcs.

Don't mean to be offputting, but if this is your first intro to Arcs i'd receommend something newer with a proper bar setup or it will be not be the best experience.
