So I'm thinking

CasualPowerKiter - 20-6-2010 at 11:26 PM

about my quiver and wanted to know whatcha guys thought. Mind you this will take place over the next year or two.

1.HQ Symphony 1.8(already have)
2.HQ Beamer IV 4.0(have as well)
3.HQ Neo II 11m (for winter and lake/beach trips)
4.PANSH Ace 6m(cheap jumper)
5.Flexifoil Blade 6m

i like the concept of the neo 2 being a crossover so i can fly it in light winds here in ohio and then i can take it to the beach when i visit the sunshine state

Once you jump with a big depower kite, if you're anything like me you won't even bother trying with the fixed bridles

ditto

From what I read about them the 6m Pansh will pick you up easy. But it may not let you down so nice. Use caution with it.

Not sure what the point is having the Ace 6m on the same list as the Blade 6m.

The Neo II 11m will want 8-10 to fly so the Blade will be you light wind machine.

Once you got depower, it is hard to go back to fixed-bridle. I dont know many people who have gone back. I can only think of a couple guys who still fly both...

When the wind direction does not lend itself to long park-and-rides and I have to cut up the beach with shorter tacks, I will go FB. They also work low winds real well. Can't buggy in 2-4 mph with anything but my 10.8 Reactor II.

A lot depends on what you are going to be using your kites for. If you are going to be boarding or buggin, the neo has my vote. Depower is niiice when you want to relax with a nice park And ride

If you just want to jump, or fly static then my vote is for the Blade. I've never flown a blade but I know the ace won't compare in any way to the quality of the Blade.

Depower is great if you are moving, but static flying a depower is like driving a ferrari in a parking lot. Some here may disagree with me, just speaking from my own experiance.

Also keep in mind that here in Naples, buggies/boards are not allowed on the beach in any way. Collier County apparently doesn't like wheels. If you plan to fly Lowdermilk park, or on Marco Island, get the FB kites ready onless you plan on hitting the water.

Hope this helps :)
