very cool to watch :bigok:Kamikuza - 22-6-2010 at 11:35 PM
As painful as those shows are to watch, it was great to see such a positive response from the audience and judges!rocfighter - 23-6-2010 at 03:05 AM
Scotty Wieder was on one of those shows last year. I didn't see it but I hear it was very good.thanson2001ok - 23-6-2010 at 05:07 AM
That all started with someone teaching a kid how to fly!acampbell - 23-6-2010 at 05:40 AM
In our region the 9 pm 1st-run show from last night will be on again at 8 pm tonight (and the 9pm show tonight is on again Saturday) I'll look for
it.zero gee - 23-6-2010 at 07:22 AM

This youtube link is the segment from the show in full. Not sure when the auditions are done with and the shows from Vegas begin to air.rdavis - 23-6-2010 at 08:27 AM

Scott was on the same show last year but with disasterous results. Too bad for him but this kid performed great.macboy - 23-6-2010 at 09:55 AM
Nice to see real talent go through. I love watching the show but get tired of all the singers and dancers. Sure it's talent but that's what American
Idol and That Dance Crew show is for - leave AGT to unique talents like these. Hope he does well. I could see a Vegas show based on choreographed
kiting. Totally!B-Roc - 23-6-2010 at 10:04 AM
Just got an email with this info...
Connor's mother also happens to be the AKA's Region 9 Director, Amy Doran. So kiting runs in the family.acampbell - 23-6-2010 at 10:14 AM
Turns out I just heard from KTIA (Kite Trade Industry Assoc.) that Connor's mom Amy Doran is AKA Director for the area.
In the family!indigo_wolf - 23-6-2010 at 10:47 AM
Errr....ummm. KTAI (Kite Trade Association International) ?
No Facebook apps are loaded or anything. It's just a tip of the hat. I expect it would warm Connor and his mom's hearts to see the friend count
escalate.

well said about how you feel when you fly... nothing touches you... cool guyBladerunner - 23-6-2010 at 04:36 PM
I like how the one judge admitts he thought it was laughable until he saw the kid do his thing.
While not knocking the kids skills ( He's got talent ) a quick search online will show you some even better fliers with some incredible moves. IMHO
I am definately going to introduce Rev's to the old folks home ( or loonie bin ) when they lock me up ! :roll:lad - 24-6-2010 at 08:09 AM
The last AGT indoor kiter audition had a crash and was used in a gag reel recap ;-(
I think the only problem with this kind of act is coming up with something really new each time - unless you really dress it up.
And yes...kites can make a Vegas Style act! (glamor stacked revs on ice!)

Just watched on hulu, somebody get that kid a sponsor :Dacampbell - 28-6-2010 at 05:49 AM
The KTAI office says that kite stores around the country got phone calls following the show from people asking about kites. Cool.Hardrock - 28-6-2010 at 10:24 AM
Yea thats gona bring the sport around some more as millions got to see.
Great for him also I hope he goes all the way.Bladerunner - 29-6-2010 at 04:21 PM
I am motivated to give this a try. We used to have an indoor crew here and I think I will try and find a space for this winter. Bugeyed has been kind
enough to let me try his indoor Rev' when we find a space !
Who on here flies indoors?awindofchange - 29-6-2010 at 04:43 PM
I fly some indoors...I usually fly my indoor kites outdoors when the wind is non-existent. As said to me by a good friend of mine....strong wind
builds muscles, light wind builds skills.
My indoor flying is ok but nothing near the caliber of Connor's and many others.WIllardTheGrey - 29-6-2010 at 04:48 PM
