hello all, im a newb lookig to get into stunt kite flying. im on a fairly low budget so getting them around a 100 bucks would be nice. we have fairly
good winds around here but it might help if it could fly in lower winds. i was thinking it should be a double stringed kite. and i want something that
i would be able to learn on and it able to withstand crashes, but i also want something that i will still be having fun with down the road. and some
thing that i would still enjoy when i get better, so if you could just recommend me a kite that would be awesome!WIllardTheGrey - 25-6-2010 at 10:04 PM

Stunt kite - Not too sure what to recommend... sorry, I'm positive some other more diverse flyers will be chiming in shortly.
Power kite - look for something in the 3 square meters range...
some high quality beginner kites that will last you a long time are
in no particular order
Ozone - Flow 3m
HQ - Beamer 3m
Prism - Tensor 3.1m
Peter Lynn - Hornet 3m

Yes, please confirm if you are talking about 2-line (framed) stunt kites, and we can work from there.
If you are, feel free to send me a private message and at the very least, I can get you out a one of the Prism Freestyle Pilot Instructional DVDs. A
fair number of them seem to have followed me home over the years. :shocked2:
What unit are you attached with? Are you still overseas or stateside?
ATB,
Sam
P.S. Despite the picture, current DVDs come in sleeves and not a jewel case.

I would highly recommend the Prism Quantum. This is a kite designed for the beginner stunt kite flyer but built good enough that you can really grow
with it. It makes it easy to start learning dual line control as well as capable of doing a wide variety of slack line tricks that will keep you
entertained and flying for a very long time before outgrowing it. The Quantum sells for around 100.00 complete, ready to fly with kite, bag, Spectra
line set, flying straps and instructions.
If you can spend a little more, check out the Prism Hypnotist for around 140 and the E3 around 170.00. Both of these are more advanced than the
Quantum and come with the Freestyle Pilot DVD mentioned above as well as ready to fly.
We have all models in stock as well as many others. If you need any more info on these or other kites, give me a call or send me an e-mail.ripsessionkites - 26-6-2010 at 11:01 AM
i would suggest the R-Sky Wao

& if you are looking for a "stunt foil" rather than a framed stunt kite.... I started on a prism snapshot, others here have as well. I haven't
flown it for over a year tho.... Just saying that maybe skipping the stunt foil step and going straight to 3m would give you a kite you would keep
flying for years, but the snapshot... or other 2-line foils.... not really something you would fly for years and years.
It really does sound like you're looking for a framed stunt kite, tho....
