Not new to kites, Ive been flying, off and on, stunt kites for 20 or so years. However, I picked up a HQ Symphony 1.8 and I gotta say Im hooked on
power kites. I just pulled the pin on a Prism Snapshot 2.5 that is 2009 NOS so I got a good deal on it. I fully realize that every new hobby is the
start of a good addiction and Im already well on my way.
What Id like advice on is a decent entry level board for land surfing. I almost hijacked the thread below this one but didnt want to do that. Ive done
some searching and I see all the same manufacturers making board parts that were making them when I was a kid.... but its been so long I dont know
whats decent and whats not.
I am 6'3 and 275# currently. I have no ambition to jump or freestyle, just want some wheels under me for either on the sand or large open field.

Welcome!
MBS seem to be a popular brand of board ... also Ground Industries. I try not to look too much at boards cos then I'll want to buy another one
I use an old Flexifoil Kava that is big, long and heavy but also 13 ply - very strong and takes my weight fine. The newer decks just freak me out -
all thin like they're going to break. Probably won't though opie - 29-6-2010 at 04:48 AM
Thanks Kami... This will be further down the road than I had initially anticipated.indigo_wolf - 29-6-2010 at 07:21 AM

I believe the "I can resist anything but temptation :sniff: :sniff:" bumpers stickers come in multiple colors and languages now.
