is the neo II a good kite. i like it because i love HQ kites and the whole idea of a crossover kite sounds amazing. i'm thinking about getting an 11m
so when it gets cold i can snowkite then go on vacation to florida and kitesurf. :tumble:

not bad based on the price point, but if you have a few extra bucks to spend i'd go with a FS kite instead.
the neo II is by far better than the first version

I like the Neo's and yeah, the II is better with a 5th line safety that works well in higher winds where you need it, but the weight and drag of the
5th line robs it of a bout 2 kts on the low end. My original Neo 11m would go up in 6-8 mph but the II wants 8-10.
I modded my 11m Neo 1 for 5th line safety and will further modify it to make it easily removable for lighter winds where the original safety system is
sufficient. the result will be a very versatile (and safe) kite.
The Neos are a bit easier to manage than a FlySurfer, with shorter bridles, but the FS'ers have a lower low-end and prolly turn faster.
The Neos are easy to fly, very stable and predictable. Almost but not quite auto-zenith like a Peter Lynn ARC (another good cross-over)

agree, I liked the proto Neo 1 we flew at JI a couple years back..........easy set up and launch..............rock stable and I was body dragging in
10 mph winds on an 8m....................
