I can jump but can't turn around.... LOL

Wind was side on today and the waves are still fairly large from the last storm....

Going out I could hit the waves more head on than with the usual onshore winds..... Hit the wave face w/ the kite coming up and up I go, or the water just disappears below me but what a float.... Pulse 12 is like a parachute....

I'm sure people on the beach thought I didn't have a clue, but I was having fun.....

Havn't got the timing right for turning around, usually I sink, sometimes I fly.... Usually I crash and then go the other way... I need to dedicate some days just for that...But today I was having fun !!!

Is it obvious that i'm addicted....

Poor buggy is getting neglected, but too many people on the beach.... Winter will be its time....

Side note: Got my speed 17 back from getting a mixer test (didn't trust doing it myself) they said it was a mess..... Can't wait to try it....

to change directions

edge control of board ... drive up wind rear heel pressure as you guide the kite to apex ...tension and balance through the hips ,like sitting in a chair

as you unweight on the board allow edge to slip AND LOOK THE NEW DIRECTION! balancing weight to NEW REAR FOOT

Your NEW front hand to give timed down stroke to the new direction, then stable and power away. your new direction , pick an upwind point above your launch spot

TIMING AND RATE (grows and changes with time and skill)

some can be quick through the apex depowered and can hold a very stable position if you need to hold your position.

some sliding styles with slower timed kite action, kinda of a powered 50/50grind

i like, a hop to toeside and down loop turn . quick, powerful and come out FAST!

but a sliding trans. you have to learn, fundamental ! cool stuff comes later. this move and your start are very similar, they share balance and kite control timing reflexes that will become mindless motion your body reacts to if you keep doing it ..............................

Well there you go - you can jump but I can't but I can turn and you can't  maybe you're not my evil twin after all ... perhaps you're the Ying to my Yang or something :dunno:

Phree is spot on.............................at the end of your run/leg, release your rear heel pressure at let the board come forward.....as the board slips forward have your kite at 1/2-10/11 ocl#@%$#! dependning on your direction. Once your rear foot/board are even and passing your front foot (your new rear foot), dive the kite back to 9/10-2/3 oclock, and you have turned................so to recap you edge hard upwind, release rear heel, let board slip out, establish new rear heel, and dive kite back to power/redirect, turn completed...........................MAKE SURE YOU LEAN BACK TO AVIOD SUPERMANNING..........................

with time the mixer test will pose no issues for your..........I did mixer on your 12 just prior to the sale.......b -1-5 c -3.0 cm
