AKC, SOFKA, NAPKRA what the Hey?

I was sort of interested in all the different groups under Pokite's sig'.

It looks like NAPKRA is dropping the R . The insurance change looks to be a go and so it is possible that the new NAPKA may be able to best represent all of us in a larger more unified manor ? MAYBE NOT ? I don't have any feel for the whole eastern circuit ? I think I see a real value in the groups all joining or at least people joing all groups.

I suspect that folks out east have been semi-organized for a while and so don't have the needs we do out west ?

So Eastern Canada , U.S. and Mexico. Please lets hear about how the club can change to better include you ? It is the perfect time to re-mold and build on all the good work that has been done for us all already !

I am a member of NAPKA so have an interest in seeing it grow but am by no means out to push anything on anybody.

AKC is Aiken kite club. It is a required membership to ride at OObe field. Sofka is Souther Flied Kiters Association. It's just a group of guys that seem to end up together on a beach or field from the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida. It is only an association because we say it is. I still consider myself a member even though I live 2800 miles away. I'm posting from Pokite's computer now as a matter of fact, while waiting to go to Charleston tomorrow to visit tridude for some water time at Sullivans Island.
