wind data for friday . station is north of me, beach front, about 10miles

nicely powered ON A 13M tube, 4-6FT SWELL. 5-8pm

wind data for SAT. same station, shows storm and shut down around 6

2-6pm , this is probably ideal direction with swell and wave timing. gives nice long points of sail along the beach and easy upwind by cross current travel. crazy ramp action both right and left hand jumps .

phreedom, interacting with nature!

interacting with nature? they trying to kill you.:lol:

I guess up this way my interacting with nature is the fire ants I get into. Was butt scudding across the field last year and went right thru a mound. Already hot sweaty and dirty then have to deal with them little bastards.

I wonder if they could damage a kite?

They could if you are flying and realize you are standing/sitting on a mound and now they have worked their way into your shorts. Now is when you need autozenith.

I've heard stories of ants biting tiny holes in kites before. Mostly in tropical locations where people have left their kites sitting out. Though, that was LEI users. Not sure it would make much difference for an ARC, or if they would even bite into it... Hard to say. Not sure I would want to find out...

One day I'll take a piece of rip stop and let em have at it, then bring it home for inspection.

sorry for HJ, Phree
