Right.. I am looking to get into buggying. Have never done this before.
I have been looking at the following kit:
Ozone Flow 5m
Ozone Four Line Safety Fixed Bridle Traction Control Bar
Peter Lynn Competition Standard Freestyle Buggy
Comments/Suggestions?
Kite too big? Wrong kite for buggying? Wrong buggy? Handles instead of control bar?
Please remember i am a beginner so please keep comments simple! :P
Cheers!

Very first kite? Probably too big ...
... but if the price is good, but it all and chuck it in the cupboard. Then buy a 2m trainer and learn to fly the wings off that!
And ... welcome!!!

My recommendation would be to get a Peter Lynn Viper 2.6m. It is about the right size for learning and it will transition better to buggying than
some of the other kites.
Learn to fly it well, take it out where other people are buggying and see what buggys they have. Ask to sit in one and see how it fits you. Learn
what you can, then make an informed purchase.
Keep the 2.6 for higher wind days and then pick up something bigger at that time for lighter wind days when you know you'll be able to handle the
kite.

For flying fixed bridles (like the Flow) in a buggy, most people would recommend handles instead of the bar.

It would also be a good idea to go to www.coastalwindsports.com and print the tutorial called BUGGY BASICS and treat it as your buggt bible and you will do fine.

thanks again nocando. Definitely something around 3 m on handles, then add a bar to experiment with later. for the buggy go for the XR+ for a little
bit more. It will take more abuse. Learn to fly the kite without looking at it all the time before you even sit in the buggy (learn one thing at a
time). good luck, have fun and welcome

Kite size all depends on your average wind conditions. For beginners, usually something around the 3m size is best but for some areas like the mid
west the winds are very light so a 5m kite may not be to bad. Again it depends on the wind. The only problem with the 5m is that if the winds are a
bit stronger, you won't be able to fly it because it will produce too much power and be to dangerous.
For the buggy, I highly recommend going to the XR+ over the standard buggy just because the XR+ is only a couple bucks more and it is 10 times more
durable and stronger.
The Ozone Flow is an awesome kite. Ozone is one of the best kites on the market so you won't go wrong at all with Ozone. Their quality, performance
and durability is absolutely awesome.
For the buggy, most pilots including myself prefer control handles over the control bar because you get so much more control and response. You can
use both but chances are that you will decide on the handles.
Hope this helps.
