hello everyone i have been kiting for over 6 years and wanted to know if there are any new york city kiters that visit this forum. There is a huge
and very active kitesurfing community in brooklyn and long island but just a handfull of landboarders, which is what i do , we usually fly at floyd
bennet field in brooklyn or sometimes if the wind is right at plumb beach in brooklyn, . Any landboarders or static flyers feel free to get in touch

Welcome Gemini. There are several people in the NY area if I recall correctly. Cheezycheese, Bobalooie, and Jaymz are pretty close to you. I'm sure
they'll chime in shortly. Since you mentioned floyd bennett perhaps you could provide us with some info? A group of us from the MA/NH area were
going to come down to try it out in the next few months. Is there any special fee or annual pass you need to have to fly on the airstrip? What kind
of condition do they keep the runway in? If a pass is needed where can we order one? Thanks for the help. Hope to see you on the runway soon

hi there sorry for not replying i just never got around to checking my messages and the website didnt notify me that i had a message. Its great to
know there are other landboarders around the city so far i only know 2 other guys who fly in brooklyn, we fly at floyd bennet field or plum beach or
coney island when the wind is in the right direction floyd bennet u can fly year round but the only drawback is that its concrete so u gotta be
carefulll, there is a permit required and its good for 1 year at floyd bennet the cost is 50 bucks but u can get away with flying there for a few
times before anyone bothers u ,, where do u guys live and fly may be we can meet up some day soon.
