Looking for some ice blades for my buggy

indigo_wolf - 2-8-2010 at 10:45 AM

I believe Jon Ellis of www.KiteBuggySpeedShop.com should be able to get you sorted with Libre Buggy Skates:

Dino at www.dakitez.com should be able to get you set up with MG skates:

Either should be able to tell you if the skates are compatible with your current rig.

I expect Weldngod could probably fabricate a custom set for you.

Not sure any path is particularly cheap.

there are also ice blades from XXtreme Buggies : http://xxtreme.nl/iceskates.html

I have a brand new set sitting in the USA Shop right now.

New to this site but wanted to thank everyone for their responce. Looking to make buggying a year round sport here in Michigan.

Can you put any of these on a Flexi buggy? I hear the ice calling me.

indigo_wolf - 2-8-2010 at 07:49 PM

This is what Jon said about the Libres skates when WolfeeWolfee was workings on puting skates on his Flexi:

"Here are the Libre ice skates. They have 12mm up front and 20mm in the back or they can be ordered only 12s or only 20s."

I expect the others can be similarly tweaked depending on what size axle bolts the Flexi takes.

Sam

Is there a guaranty for Black ice in winter ?
Or do there is a lot of snow covering the ice ?
How no maybe we find a sponsor and have a blast on the ice next winter ?!

wolfie made a nice set of blades for his buggy. bad thing about ice blades is snow. if there snow on top of ice your out of luck unless you like not being able to turn. the more snow the harder to turn.
