My Zero7 safety release is so sloppy it falls off if you turn the bar upside down ...!
And my Speed CL is getting very ratty ...
Thinking of replacing both of them with the Ozone Megatron chicken loop ... there's a version that has a "5th line" that would be good for the Speed
1.5 but for the PL I'd need to make up a front line safety ... worth the effort or just bodge the Zero7?furbowski - 5-8-2010 at 11:35 PM

wow that sounds really bad....
can't help with your question tho.... not enough experience yet playing with my arcs.borntofli - 6-8-2010 at 03:02 AM
I'd say change them both out.... You'r syn will flag out much neater on the front line.... Check out the North ironheart... I have that and its
simple and indestructible..
The good news is that your flying your kite enough to have problems w/ it... Nothing goes wrong when they're in the cupboard....Kamikuza - 6-8-2010 at 04:53 AM
Good way of thinking, BTF :D
Got pics of your rig there?
What hardware above the bar would be needed for the front line safety? Isn't the Iron Heart a double depower line? Will it fit through the bar hole?
I've got a line on the Ozone Megatron loop that's only one depower line and has a safety kind of like the North's, up the middle ... front line
hardware safety becomes a problem again I probably need to get 2 cos my Flysurfer
CL is munted too ...!!!
... I've temporarily stymied it by putting a tap washer in there - enough drag on the hat to stop it popping off but not enough to bulk out the pin
and make it too hard to pull.PHREERIDER - 6-8-2010 at 05:20 AM
the north is almost like NAVI set up, maybe even originates from the same company.
the slide through lines HAVE to be smooth no knots, hence the Y-connector about half way up on the NAVI lines AND at least the length of the kite.
the through the bar stuff is tidy when fresh but all of it succumbs to wear. AT FIRST you really need the systems intact and functioning but
eventually your own kite control, even in trouble, evolves away from high wear and potentially failing systems. bar ends slides and OVER the bar
front line slide really are the all round end for what works AND won't wear!
careful not to get leashless loop system mixed up in CL choices , some loops DO NOT open by design, and these "systems" work fine as well, but are
def intended for an intact bar and line set complete as OMEKamikuza - 6-8-2010 at 05:22 AM
I can't seem to find any info on the web about them but ... how bout one of these?
I believe Powerzone has done a couple Ozone megs with Flysurfers. I did BTF's Pulse 2 with the Ironheart 2 and it is sweet..................yes its a
double depower line but no issues with the 5th line FDS.......................................
Ive been critical of the zero 7 set up for a long time...............change it over ASAP..................borntofli - 6-8-2010 at 09:23 AM
All you need is 2 pigtails and 4 rings... Then you can hook to which side you prefer... You will probably need a longer leash than the PL one.....Kamikuza - 6-8-2010 at 05:07 PM
That was what I envisaged - thanks for the pic and confirmation! Not too hard after all except ... if the safety goes through the bar, it'd need to be
on a long line to a Y like the Nav bar, yeah?
The problems with the double depower line is getting it through the hole in the bar ...!Kamikuza - 6-8-2010 at 05:27 PM
... where did you get the Iron Hearts from?!? Having trouble finding a shop with II or I CL only!
