Did one of you experienced this?
www.kite-boat-systems.com
for a long time I´m asking myself, why nobody invented an easy way to get on the water. They did!
looks really easy and seems to bee allot of fun.

Don't play the video with children in the room.

If you wonder about Bob's comment, know the song to the video is the UNCENSORED "I'm on a Boat" by Lonely Island F/T-pain.
I don't consider myself very staid or conservative, but I really don't care for profanity in my music..
The video is kind of lacking, it's nothing but far shots of a small hobiecat being flown by a Cabrina. ZERO up-close shots, y'know the "how it works"
stuff we're all so interested in.

Yeah, its not just a foul word here and there. The majority of the language isn't safe for work or family except the flying on a boat stuff. So turn
the speakers down and just watch the video if it would be inappropriate.
The idea looked somewhat novel but like it had limitations and would be boring quickly. I was wondering about setup and how to get the kite launched
and steady while you got the boat into position. I'd like to see a full setup and ride video with the "how it works" bits.

Looks fun. I turned off the sound because the Kidd was watching.
It looks like a fairly easy rigg up. How big of a kite you thing it will take to move my 24' Sloop like that?

Perhaps our friend made this classic mistake ... (again, NSFW)

Looks good though!

Peter Lynn has been playing around with this for about 20 years now. It really isn't that new.
Here's a link to some of the kite boating stuff that he has done, some old, some new.
Peter Lynn Kite Boating Pictures.
I too don't care for the foul language in the original post. The Peter Lynn link doesn't have any music so your safe to look at it anywhere.
One of the most interesting pictures in the collection is the one of the Jacob's Ladder from about 18 years ago and with a stack of Flexifoil stacker
two line kites.....you'll see what I mean.

I find the video & music somewhat ironic. Yet, I want a boat. That's got to be crazy fun, though I imagine you need a lot of power so either a
massive kite or winds that are condusive to just plain kiteboarding. Still I want a boat. I'm drooling at the chance to do this!

It looks pretty slick and fast, there were some scary fast jibes too. Can't wait to get mine back out on the water but as of today I have to
disassemble and store it due to Earl coming up the coast.

I found another video about them.

that seems to work pretty good and the speed is incredible.
They are faster than the windsurfers.:o
