Going to be fully stocked at RSKB locations (sorry for the commerical break).
ill report back with my review shortly.Jovver - 18-9-2010 at 10:01 AM
Awesome find! It's nice to see a lot of footage with the use of the turbo bar... actually, most of the video featured the use of it. It's also cool to see the riders using it almost as if it were a depower bar
(pulling in to power up) Looks like it would make a sweet buggy engine, and I'm lovin the new color schemes as well. Lookin forward to your review!Maven454 - 18-9-2010 at 10:04 AM
Jovver, if you watch closely, some of the time they are using a depower bar, there were obviously some Ozone depowers in use there as well.Jovver - 18-9-2010 at 10:11 AM
Wow... you are absolutely right. I was so excited to see the new kite in action that I didn't even realize. Very good catch.Maven454 - 18-9-2010 at 10:15 AM
But that doesn't invalidate your original statement, they do use the Turbo bar much like a depower bar, and it appears to give at least some of the
same effects.indigo_wolf - 18-9-2010 at 02:55 PM
So was the Method flying on both the Turbo and Depower bar? Have only seen one other kite that was meant to do that.

No way to tell from the video really, but I doubt it. The Method is straight fixed bridle.indigo_wolf - 18-9-2010 at 03:06 PM
Shame... would have been interesting. Still would be interested in one of the larger Methods.

P.S. Throw up some pics of your custom XTs.... just noticed the sig update.John Holgate - 18-9-2010 at 03:41 PM
The guys testing the proto's are giving the Method awesome good reports - although being 'involved' with Ozone, they probably wouldn't publicly say
too much negative about them! And fair enough too. I hope they work as well as the Flow does on the turbo bar, and from all reports, they do. I
would doubt they would work with a depower bar - they would have had to design to kite to steer solely on the brake lines.
The turbo bar does feel a bit like a depower bar at speed (in the buggy) pulling the bar in simply pulls both brake lines evenly and, depending on the
kite, gives you a bit more 'oomph'. I fly the Flow with quite a bit of brake on. It's when you fly the turbo bar static that you realize it's not a
depower bar - if the kite is moving slowly and I pull the bar in, I just stall the kite, where as the depower bar will give me more pull (and plenty
of warning when it is going to stall).
My Flow, Imps and Beamers fly really well on the TB, the Hornet less so, and the Century II and Reactor II less again - they require more front line
input in turns than the turbo bar provides. It's all a matter of matching the type of bar to the kite.
I'm hoping there will be a few Method's turn up in our local demo system in the next few months 'cos I'm chomping at the bit to give 'em a run.indigo_wolf - 18-9-2010 at 04:03 PM

$%$@, need more time. Not enough money right now. Or I just need someone to sponsor me...stevensaero - 28-9-2010 at 08:10 PM
Unless I missed something... all the bar use footage appeared to look like the turbo bar to me. Glad to see Ozone flaunting that awesome piece of
equipment... as well as the new kite. From what's been said about the Method it's supposed to get a good torque increase from application of brake,
making it an ideal match for the turbo bar and flying hooked in.Maven454 - 29-9-2010 at 03:08 AM
Some of those bars had a clam cleat on them. No clam cleat on the Turbo Bar... Just went and looked at the video again, if you read the comments,
the guy says that he edited the video and uploaded it again, this time without any depower.stevensaero - 29-9-2010 at 04:40 AM
That makes sense - I was unable to find any bars using clam cleats in the video as downloaded last night.windzup - 1-10-2010 at 10:07 AM
Ozone has experienced their largest sales year this season, which has created more demand for the current kite models and increased production times.
The Method has been pushed back in the production line up several times to help keep the flow rolling on other kites and paragliders that are in
production this summer. Ozone has hired 100 additional employees to help keep up with demand, bringing the Vietnam Factory workforce to 600 strong!
As of this week, the Method is scheduled to go into production on October 1st, which means it will be available and on the streets sometime in
November in the USA.
To match Ozone's premium reputation with its growing demand, Ozone has adopted a new distribution network for 2011. The Method will only be available
at select Ozone Retailers this winter. Contact Windzup to find out what Authorized Ozone Dealers will have the Method and 2011 Snowkites in stock...
or order yours direct from the factory at www.FlyOzoneUSA.com. Pricing on the Method will be released shortly.

Brian Schenck

Custom colors available for the method as with other Ozone foil kites when ordered from the factory?Maven454 - 1-10-2010 at 10:34 AM
I doubt it. I think the Method, like the Flow and the Imp, will be one color per size.awindofchange - 1-10-2010 at 01:47 PM
You can order custom colors from any Factory Authorized Ozone retailer. As mentioned above, custom colors are only available on certain models,
usually the more expensive ones. The IMP and Flow are only available in the current color combination where as the Yakuza GT, Access and Frenzy are
all available in custom color designs. I have not yet heard whether the Method will be available in custom colors - if so then it will probably be
quite a waiting list for customs until demand for the new kite has been met. Your Factory Authorized Ozone retailer should be able to update you on
colors and availability. You could also get updates from Windzup as well.
