it sounds like your kite is overshooting the apex a bit and then flying out of the window. try to sign your kite back and forth a little across the top of the window if that happens so it doesn't over fly you.

stranfe wind? :puzzled: I think that happens mostly in the Latverian foothills.

WRT to "really strong" and then totally dead"
It sounds like you are experiencing either gusty winds, wind turbulence caused by grounds obstructions (trees, buildings, etc) at your flying location or both.

WRT "somtimes the wind seems to blow the kite over your head"
Generally, speaking, the kite's (assuming it is in the center of the wind window and neutral inputs from you) natural inclintation is to climb to zenith and hover there. If there are shifting winds at zenith or the kite is carrying enough momentum, it can easily overshoot the zenith. "Tapping on the brakes" and/or redirecting the kite will prevent that.

At zenith, the kite is basically just a big balloon hanging in the air, if you don't provide any control inputs, it will go whichever way the wind moves it. After you have been flying awhile, a lot of your inputs will become second nature and you won't be aware of them, unless you think about it. This is very analogous to automatically maintaining lane position ( well, some people anyway  ) after you have been driving a car awhile.

WRT "find of going backwards"
I have no idea what that means.

Hope that helps.... sorry, but some of your post was a bit hard to suss out due to grammer.

Sam

You have a bad location and shifting winds !

Wind is fluid like water. Think about it like a river. The wind will be very messed up for a VERY long way .Approx 7 - 10 times the height of the obstruction downwind.

To avoid " over flying " either turn the kite a bit or apply some brakes before it reaches the edge.

Go to www.coastalwindsports and read the tutorials that Angus has put together. It will answer qeustions you didn't even know you have !
