Bought a used Psycho 4 last night and tried to open the zippper today and it was stuck...Used some water...got it open but then it started opening
below the zipper. Zipped it all the way down but no luck. As a last ditch effect, I undid the string so I could take the zipper 'buckle' all the way
off and start from the beginning. Noticed there is a single tooth missing on one side...seems to prevent the zipper from working correctly...now I
can't zip up the kite at all....any suggestions would be much appreciated....I'm really hoping I don't have to replace the whole zipper....

Pete,
give powerzone and call and he can ship you the zipper head............I have replaced a couple and its easy peasy.....If you or your wife sew and
have a machine, its a 5 minute job...........sand is the culprit........good news is this was replaced on your 19 SA2........

In the future after a beach session spray the deflate zip, and head with sailkote dry lube.........

Thanks Tri....do you think the missing 'tooth' on one of the sides of the zipper will prevent even a new zipper head from working?
...and yeah, no problems with the Speed zipper ;-)

Spoke to PowerZone today...he's going to send me a new zipper head...hopefully that will take care of the problem...should know in a few days.

The new Zipper head will last for a while.
I've also replaced whole zippers with a better tooth...
Other option is to sew it up and do the Velcro Like the speed 3's.
I've done that for some guys...
